That was really close to the original singer there and for some reason, given the European-esque setting of S&W I suppose, it didn't sound strange to hear it in Russian either. Kudos to the casting there!

I am intrigued... and I like that version. She is quite good.
However, I don't speak a lick of Russian (though I have a friend who is fluent... I'll have to run it by him to see if there was anything altered or lost in translation).

Yeah that is pretty decent, the vocals are very similar to the original.
It'd probably sound more natural in english or another central european language (German for example, due to the setting), but it does work. On another note, good to see our Russian friends are getting S&W now too, its an adorable series and its good to see it getting spread to a wider audience.

Well, of course that would be very nice... it would serve to satisfy me in the lull between manga and novel releases... of course now, I'd really like to be able to get a multi-lingual DVD version of S&W not just the standard Nih. and Eng. that I have but maybe also with a Russian, German, or French audio selection (as long as the voice acting is great) that would definitely add a more authentic flair to it.
Of course with different licenses for each of these releases, that would be nigh unto impossible... unless it was a bootleg; that might be THE one time I'd honestly want a bootleg DVD!

That was nice of course considering she has a great voice helps too.
Man, I used to speak a fair bit of German, but that has been lost to the ages. A German translation would be reason enough for me to get back into it. Thanks for sharing.

Russian’s link to the OP and ED doesn't work any more. So, I have updated it here. (Semantic translation of fans is pleasant more than licensed, imho.)

The main problem – we don’t have translators from Japanese for light novels. And fans translators use English language recourses only. Last edited by poleno; 2011-05-22 at 19:28. |
