The main mistake of the 1990s OAVs was to start in media res, expecting people who were not readers of the manga to grasp what's happening. I know, BECAUSE my FIRST contact with JoJo were the two last OAVs of the 1990s version, UNSUBBED. And I not only felt lost, and I also wrote it off as a "gay version of Hokuto no Ken". It took the french publishing of the manga by J'ai Lu, back in 2002/2003, to grasp what I have missed out. And boy I felt humbled.
for some reason ithink that someone editer my post ir im getting old

anyway the part 3 ova didn't had some things like kakyoin fighting against Terrence D'arby, or iggy fighting against Petshop, or the complete poker match

but i think that with jjba's success now, they will probbaly add the rest and link some things from the original OVA's

anyway, WHERES ZE GIF OF THAT AWESOME HAMON OVERDRIVE!

Best part of episode 5:

Dio: "Do you remember how many breads you have eaten in your life?"

Otherwise, the pacing is smooth but the censoriship is nasty. Whoever did the coloring needs to lay down the mushrooms.

The narrator's comments always ease the tension when it's too stiff, and the way he exclaims everything is interesting as well.
Although Jojo is like making up new moves from nowhere at this point...
Nice to see that even with Hamon, Dio is not fazed.

To be fair, there was a part of the manga that was omited where the chinese, who became Dio's underling, had been sent to kill Jonathan and was the first to taste Hamon. He came back to Dio, so his lord became aware of the Hamon as game changer for Jonathan.

I love the color palette. It totally fits Jojo (Araki's colorings are always quite... interesting).

That was another good episode. The animation is still stiff but at this point it's doubtful it's ever going to change. I'd like them to use a different style for the next part though, as I'm not sure the current one would suit it.

That bastard Dio's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Hamon is ineffective against him, how is Jojo going to win?

Speedwagon is one of the biggest bro in the series. So awesome.

This is such a fun show. Kenshiro vs JoJo, who wins?

Jojo and his crew searching for Dio.
That little illusion & the boy thief were a nice trap.
I expected nothing less from Dio.
That guy is impossibly strong and pretty much unbeatable.
And now he even has 2 former hero, now monsters on his side.

I only just started this, having seen that it is the second-most popular new show of the season on 2channel (after Chuunibyou and barely ahead of Girls und Panzer). And I see why. Terrific show, moving at a terrific pace. Some manga readers may find it too quick, but this is just right for me. I burned through four episodes over 24 hours. They make the ridiculous exaggeration of everything work beautifully. And the look is amazing. Nicely done. Of course, how can you go wrong when Koyasu Takehito plays your villain?

Dio is such a badass villain, but he is quite true to his ideals. JoJo and Zeppeli have problems with Dio's newfound powers, making him quite fearsome for a vampire. As for the show, it's going quite fast and very manly. It's like the show that is the outcast compared to others this Fall season.

what's with the super dark color scheme during the fights.

censoring aside, most of the time, I can't even see what's going on.

Did Speedwagon just essentially fix Zeppeli's frozen arm using the power of overflowing man love?

That's why he is revered as the Bro of Bros in JoJo fandom. I think only Jousuke Higashikata from Part 4 have come as close.

As far as release date is concerned, from most sources I've seen the release date will be on the 21st of November. However, weirdly, I've seen full versions going around in Youtube... albeit low-quality.

That said, have this awesome guitar cover of the full (!!) OP.

The original song itself is around 4 minutes and ~20 seconds-ish long.

Anyone did? You know, most people think it's useless because they're villains.

Nice to know he's good for something other than saying "OMG, OMG, that's so crazy!" I mean seriously sometimes I wish that guy had a mute button and not flipping out all the time.

Lol, admittedly he does that a lot as well . It's like he's the commentator of most fights he witnessed.
