It would indicate that is a possibility. Would be interesting for them to construct the 3rd movie, expanding on Nanoha's injury.

Fate doesn't so much save Nanoha, as stumble in and get beat down as well. So that aspect is lost.
No SLB to break the barrier?
Arf gets curbstomped and never redeems herself?
Hayate almost gets hit by a truck? Why? Wasn't the original story good enough?
Do they not explain how a 9 year old girl is living alone? Granted, they didn't really explain the series, but you could at least extrapolate that Graham was pulling strings.
No Suzuka befriending Hayate? Why are her and Arisa in this movie again?

Sounds like a lot of flash and little substance.

What's with Fate's white cape? Where exactly is that supposed to be factored into her new upgrade? Maybe it's shown during the time-skip to tie into StrikerS?

Graham's removal is part of the cover up. It's TSAB propaganda. This will obviously lead to a civil war movie in the next where they finally bring the fight to the man!

In all seriousness, this was a fairly interesting decision that greatly simplifies the story for the movie format. Ideally, they'd flesh out that scenario allowing for more development on Chrono and Lindy's part but it was evident they didn't think they were up to it. However, it was pretty hamfisted in A's itself and is probably the weaker part to be cut out. Neither conspiracy parts in A's or StrikerS really provided anything of substance that was followed on. Unfortunately this leads to a plot hole involving Hayate in which you'd only know if you were watching the series.

But whatever, I expect this movie to be on the level of the 1st or maybe a little less. Outdoing A's wasn't going to be an easy task regardless. I could chide them slightly for not trying, but then again seeing some of their other recent efforts makes me reconsider.

Why the change to Hayate's background story? Entirely unneeded IMO. Hell, it even jabs a knife into the entire plot surrounding her legs. Lindy's fight getting cut is a bummer after hyping it with those trailers. I'll withhold my third barrage of criticism for them keeping Fate's dream sequence until I see how much screentime it swallows.

I didn't really expect Lindy to get a fight because you do actually see her talk with Signum interrupted by Vita's attack. Though, it would have been great to see. I'm going to try and keep an open mind about the film until I find out more details on how things played out.

I think it sounds like it will be a good film. There's a few things I'm disappointed about, like Fate no longer saving Nanoha. But they did have to condense the story of A's into a 2 and half-hour film, and having both Fate and Nanoha have their Linker Cores taken near the beginning condenses the plot more. I don't look forward to some of the rushed aspects, but I think sounds like solidly put together film overall. I'm still excited to see it.
