in a time of need for anime
Please recommend only anime series that have finished airing; and no movies. I like school life, romance, and fantasy anime. I dislike mecha and ecchi. But don't hold back if you think there's something I haven't seen that I should.

Three shows about adolescents where their lives out of school is more important than their lives in school:
Tsuritama - four boys forge a friendship around fishing then save the world Sakamichi no Apollon - teens discover jazz and romance in 1966 Chihayafuru - somewhat similar to Hikaru no Go; a high-school girl becomes enamored with a traditional card game, organizes a school team, and tries to become a professional And just because it's fun to watch: AKB0048 - successors to the contemporary AKB48 idol group in the far future travel the universe staging guerrilla concerts in the face of an oppressive galactic regime, yet they still sing the same songs For a dose of traditional slice-of-life, I recommend Showa Monogatari about a lower-middle-class family in 1964, the year the Olympics came to Japan.

Another one that would be good would be Sora no Otoshimono, it sorta has ecchi but it helps with the plot and makes you laugh (sorry didn't see the myanimelist)
