I never expected the new master samurai to be a monkey. That came out of nowhere. A monkey became a master samurai before Naoe-chan. A freaking MONKEY. She's lower than her in the dojo hierarchy. I'm torn about Naoe's mistreatment by her peers. On one hand, it pains me to see her get treated like trash, and on the other... it's absolutely hilarious. Naoe is brilliant. People call her a dog which infuriates her, and what does she do next ? She gets on all fours and barks at the monkey

Her "Number wan" rant was also pretty funny. Her antics were definitely the highlight of the episode once again.

I'm fairly hopeful she'll finally become a master samurai next week. The episode is focused on her and the title is "Love and kiss". If nothing happens, I will feel cheated.

How much did the anime deviate from the light Novel? Really wondering, it is a shame that the series is license so Baka-Tsuki will never have it translated.

Doesn't really have anything to do with licensing, more to do with the fact none of the translators are interested in translating it.

Hobby Japan said they where planning to release the novels in the US, but that was way back before the frist anime aired as far as I know the series still hasn't been licensed.

With far more popular series not getting released in the I west highly doubt a relatively small series like this will get a release.

Someone asked how far this had deviated from the novel, if it did at all, and... Volume 5 is titled "Maid Cafe True Shadow, Now Open!" meaning that this Maid Cafe development, while seemingly added by the producers to jazz up the second season, actually comes straight from the novels.

And now you know.
