Yeah, I wasn't aware it was a split show, everything I'd read said 26 episodes and I didn't remember reading it was taking a break.
Then again, Crunchyroll don't have it in their list of shows continuing into spring.

Wait, is this getting a second half/split? Ending didn't confirm anything except that I dont' think it will end like that.

Also, this kid reminds me of The Grudge:


Overall, a decent season with good action, soundtrack, and storytelling although I had some issues with the pacing.

I finished watching the first season (will watch the movie tomorrow), that was awesome. Kind of sad that I missed it back then now though. It also put a few things into perspective for Exodus. Now I'm sad this is split cours though.

The most intriguing part is that everyone got a power-up (I see Nitch and Sein has power-up) except for Maya, Akira and Hirito. I expect both Akira and Hirito to die at this point, but they keep on pointing out Maya's stamina which doesn't appear to be normal at all at this point. That seems a bit similar to the first season and all the foreshadowing about her pilot's test being wrong.

Speaking of all these powers, they seems quite similar to one some Festum have shown. Co-existence is now basically be one of us I guess...

I'm totally expecting a "The Edge of Tomorrow" second season now, because if Canon can see the futur(s), that means some Festum can as well.

Does anyone think that Yumiko is the spy from Festum?

This is a solid episode, leading to the second haft and Canon's vision along with that kid made me feel creepy. But anyways, at stated by Canon's Fafner, the future is still not decided and can be changed.

Do we have to wait for the 2nd season until 2016, I think they will show it in Summer 2015. Aldnoah Zero didn't announce the last half until its episode 13 ended and it came back right away after 3 months (and everyone is still upset about the ending ).

Well I loved it. One of the best eps yet IMO. I really got thinking about everything in double-time as all sorts of hints and foreboding came out of everyones mouth one after another.

Canon and Sakura achieved God Mode finally along with the new kids regaining their confidence.

Is it confirmed second half is coming in Winter 2016? I guess it makes sense they would take a break considering this is a pretty well produced show.

I believe the second part will begin after Knights of Sidonia in the Spring season, ie Summer of this year.

Maya has one of the best stats among the FirstGen, but she has extremely low resistance to assilmation. That's why her data was hidden by Yumiko in the first place. I guess she's approaching her limit......

No, I don't think Yumiko is the spy. She is part Festum now, like Minashiro, but probably for the Mir that is coming to Earth.

As for the spy, I thought it was either the creepy boy, or some other human that is part of the Human Army who wants to eradicate all opposition.

I can't find any information with a continuation, so I don't have any verified information on if and when it will continue. Someone mentioned Winter 2016, so if they can list the source for that, it would be appreciated.

That (underline) doesn't make sense. Spending time inside of a Fafner gets the pilot gradually assimilated (because of the DNA changes), that's why after a time they can't pilot anymore. Also, the longer you stay in one go the more you get assimilated. Maya is the only FirstGen still allowed to pilot a Fafner and she can stay inside of her Fafner for far longer then anyone else. Per Souhsi in episode 2, Maya is still a permanent Fafner pilot. She should have been retired a long time ago like the others if she had low assimilation resistance.

I also don't remember anyone mentioning her having low assimilation resistance in season 1 (and I just finished watching it).

Before the movie, I really want you to watch the ova(Right of Left).
Even though you have to find the fansub cause it's not licensed, it answers some questions like "What's Plan L?" or "What happened to Sui's sister?".
And after watching it, re-watch the EP1 of first season is recommended.

Those Titan Fafner are nasty... Piloting those things are one way trip to the Nothingless

ANd that poor pilot. on other series, she would have a chance to go down in glory like her friends but in Fafner...

Anyway, The most surprising in Ep13 for me was Burns somehow survived that worm sphere and got tired of Old Hag's hardline stance

Then I think it's in background material, or at least hinted when Maya needs to take pills after almost all battles. And since Akane gave out data before the end of Season 1 to tackle the problem, pilots receive a better resistance to assimilation.

Also, while all Fafner pilots are doomed from the start, there're just some people who'll get assimilated faster than others. In RoL all the pilots need to rotate their role for every 15 minutes, yet some of them bite it just a week after the operation. Direct contact with Festum will also accelerate the effect.

It's been announced to be 26 episodes from the start, just not yet sure when (I read from something else that it's July).
Your link just said they finised another episode of Radio; the real big event will be on 24/5 so it's believed that they'll announce when will be the second part.

Sheesh that ending was chilling as all hell!

So we really don't have any idea when the second half will air? I've seen several people suggest dates but doesn't seem like anything has been confirmed at all as of yet which just makes me sad.

What a hell of a great first half though, episode 9 is likely one of my favorite episodes of anime period that first half is so gripping then dat song and everything else that happens afterwords is so amazing and holy hell the great battle animations!
