This is a surprise to me, mainly because this is the first time that I fully read the chapter in a translated form. So to make things short, Kanade used the Angel Player program to, in some way, "lock down" Yusa's bloodthirsty persona.

Even still, how Kanade did it is something even this chapter did not touch upon.
Would this be explored further into the manga or the visual novel?

Spoiler for Spoiler: Hell, even Kanade is directly involved. As for your question, I think she got royally brainwashed, as in, her violent side was sealed away.
