So any thoughts about the new in-game cinematic? The associated storyline seems to serve as a spark for the Alliance and Horde to remain hostile. That and it's pretty damn epic.

A few words about the cinematic. It contains HEAVY Spoilers. It's the current most epic questline the game has ever known, so think twice if you really want to watch it now.
... I'd like a Zhevra mount too, but the recruit-a-friend program is not available here in Switzerland. Last edited by Narzia; 2008-09-28 at 09:32. |

Yeah that cinematic (which does have huuuuuuuuuge spoilers), and that whole quest line. As well as all the phasing stuff they have implemented in other quests (like in Icecrown) really really gives an AWESOME feeling for a progressive world in real time, something MMO's sorely lack.
I've got a Zhevra, recruited myself. Wanted two more alts but the lowbie grind annoys me. >.>

Ooh, really a wonderful job they did with the cinematics. Very good.
It's nice how they are finally taking a more serious look at the storyline, taking a closer look at the relation between the Alliance and the Horde, and the Horde and the Forsaken. This really looks like a promising expansion now, hats off to Blizzard for restoring my faith in them. Edit: The dialogue is lame though. Last edited by Sheep; 2008-09-29 at 14:47. |

Speaking of Spoilers....
This one is HUGE about the Origin of Life on Azeroth (Titan lore) (If someone wants to talk about it, Id suggest keeping it in the spoiler tags) Spoiler for HUGE Spoiler, do not click if you do not want to be spoiled:

Question for those of you that were into WoW before the BC came out.
What happened to WoW when the 2.0.1 patch came out the month before the Burning Crusade was released? What changed? What could you do differently? How much of the BC was in there for you to do in that month before release? I expect them to release a 3.0.1 (or whatever) patch before the Lich King is released. Any estimates on when that will be, and what we (as players) will be able to do before the expansion is release?

As far as I can remember nothing from BC was really there besides the new talent trees.
Most people simply pvp'd because of the honor items changing from rank to a set honor cost and getting honor by the day. Some still raided though. Edit: Missed your other question there is roughly 5-6 weeks until wotlk, I expect the 3.02 patch in 3-4 weeks leaving us with 2-3 weeks to play with the stuff before release.

Okay. That makes sense. Sort of like how things are if you don't have the current expansion but have up through with patch 2.4.3 (all spells and talents normal, just no access to Outland instanced areas, (and characters I suspect) and level capped at 60 still)
I was sort of expecting the patch next week. But that was entirely based off the previous expansion's patch coming about 5 weeks (or at least reprotedly 5 weeks) before the release of the expansion. (Patch is dated December 5th, 2006 while the Expansion released on January 16th, 2007)

I hope the patch still takes a few weeks, as i still miss 6 mounts for the "50 mounts achievement".
Grinding Sha'tari Skyguard rep with only 2 daylie quests for 500 rep available sure is though. Maybe i should rather grind some pvp mounts. Speaking of old Gods.. Spoiler:

Do plan B Eva. You wait outside the store for someone to get the Collector's. Follow them. Wait until there isn't many people and beat them in the head with a two-by-four. Take the copy. Run.

haha...
I got a pre-order myself, luckily before they stopped taking them. \o/ But as to whether I will get it though... I've got my doubts. Spoiler for Old Gods and Gnomes:
Oh wow, I rambled on there way longer then I intended.
