Novels always have disagreements with shows. Look at Star Wars, there are still differences. But that by no means that they aren't canonical. If there is a conflict, of course the show will be the correct one.

The problem is that they are not yet released in the Americas, meaning that a site such as this one, one based in America or English speaking territories, does not have access to the content. Few people here have read them, simply, aside from brief summaries posted by others.

Dont know if this is to early to ask, but do the novels include a different ending or they end just as anime?

From what I understand about the novels. The novel's aren't canon. Often times the light novels just fill in the gaps of time for certain characters or back story.

I do know that the manga of the anime story looks to have a different ending. The manga is much more light hearted, and the series to date has no KMFs. Hard to imagine how you get the same ending without those.
It's still possible though.

i actually just bought the english translated and published version of the code geass novel vol 1 stage 0
And its really good! I havent been able to put it down and cannot wait until the second vol is published <3
I suggest anyone who felt that code geass didnt have enough back story to suzaku, his father, todoh, or lelouch should definitely pick it up
But from what I understand, the novels go more in-depth to the left out things, like WHAT was todoh's miracle, HOW the ootbk lost and a bunch of other little things the anime never went into. like *spoiler* nunnally was a psycho when she was little and lelouch was not with her *spoiler*
I recommend picking these babies up! Their a fast read too, i read through mine in less then a day xD

I don't know where I can actually buy them... I live in HK.

EDIT: Does anyone know anything about these two images? Can anyone translate it?

Spoiler for size:

Bismarck was previously Knight of Five and Marianne was Knight of Six.

There's been no confirmation, though most people here say they're not.

Does anyone want to hear anything from the novel? Cause I assume that they weren't translated.

Well, since most don't consider it to be canon...

Though if there is anything in particular you want more information about I can give some. Even though I only haev the first two novels. Also I'm only 50 or so pages into the second one.

These are things that have been in the novels so far.

Suzaku, Lelouch interactions as children (Mecco has made a lot of pictures that seem to be based off the first novel)
Nunnally, Lelouch interactions as children
Suzaku, Nunnally, Lelouch interactions as children
Suzaku, Nunnally interactions as children
The events surrounding Genbu's death (there are some minor differences here, as to what Suzaku was wearing)

Second Novel, Stage 1 -Shadow-

Milly's thoughts
Milly, Suzaku interaction
Milly, Kallen interactions
Milly, Lelouch interactions
Milly, Lelouch, Nunnally interactions
Milly, C.C. interactions
Euphie (They spell it Euphy), Cornelia interactions.
Cornelia, Guilford, Darlton interactions
Lelouch, Suzaku interactions (And Hitomi is mentioned, I thought it was funny that they were playing the songs for the school)
Lelouch dialogue (Very funny, most likely how the giant pizza in the festival came to be)
Lelouch, C.C. interactions

And that's as far as I got, ignoring the repeated information about the Black Knights.

Do you think it's worth the reading novels or is it just fluff?

Edit: Nvm should have just read the earlier posts. :S

They are worth reading. Don't think "Not canon, not worth it" cause they are really good. It's like how people never liked the mangas with the exception of NoN. They actually turn out really good.

Also, Suzaku's age at which he joined the Britannian Forces is stated.

And I almost burst out laughing in class when I read one part.
