Considered reading this novel because i think it will have a good harem end. But after reading spoiler on this topic ,thanks god i'm lucky enough that i still have not read it.

I already had a bad feeling while reading volume 4, but at the end of volume 5 I already knew that the novel was going down hill. Actually, scratch that, the moment that little shit got that super sentai wannabe suit of his at volume 3, I had already given up all hope on this.

PS: Now that I stop to think about it, I truly wonder why the hell did I even read this till the end.

Even with that low bar, the manga ending still seems worse to me since Lily ended up stealing Yoshie's place in the ending. Though that could be because a part of me has decided that the light novel ended at Volume 10 with Junko's confession and Akuto's harem declaration and is pretending everything else didn't happen.

I honestly have no idea what author was thinking to make a such horrible ending for LN. It became Umineko/Lovecraft all of sudden. I mean, what the heck happened at all? All characters died and only Hiroshi was left?

the hero kills baby sai like 20 times, everyone dies, the right wrong keeps happening, the hero decides to move everyone to another dimension to get the right ending(which is basically him not existing to fuck things up) without him, the MC has his harem end but the hero just becomes the new law of identity to start his own story until someone takes the job from him like the girl did from the beginning. stupid overly convoluted ending. clearly the author wrote himself into a corner.

No, they did not die. At the end, the shit hero took the role of the Law of Identity and had to write a new story, in that universe, until someone appears to take that role from him.

Sai took all the souls of people inside of him and shifted them all to another universe, completely new, that he created. Only the shit hero and that shit time-traveling guy got the short end of the stick.

In the end, we did indeed get a harem happy ending but, still, it wasn't satisfying at all.

To be honest I still don't understand on what happen to Sai and the others after Sai merge with Keina to form that void crap. I don't know if they cease to exist or simply went to some other universe that not bounded by the Dai Maou story-writer. The text makes it seem like they all vanish from existence then shift to another universe but who knows.

They "moved on". Where and why weren't clear, but they didn't cease to exist so much as ascend to a higher plane of existence.

Sai absorbed EVERYONE and that one girl absorbed Sai who then took them to a new universe where they can start over, think of it as a restart to the beginning of the novel. Only without shit hero and a law of identity to mess with them. So in effect they go through everything all over again without interference so the harem happens because all those girls are destined to be with him, the only reason why it got clusterfucked was because of the hero and law of identity without them they can continue the story and seek their own happy ending. The hero starts his own universe with is own unique story until someone comes along to take that job from him like how he took the job.

All in all MC and girls aside, the story ended fucking stupidly without the needless bullshit. I think the author just ran out of ideas or wanted to be clever and it backfired since the last novel sold pretty shit and probably ruined his career.

And Sai, as god, arranges for Junko to be raped and murdered. Like, what the hell?

The worst is that all that stuff about "stories" and "Law of Identity" appeared early, so it was pretty much always how it was supposed to be. He meant to pull those bullshit moves.
