The OST is quite awesome by recent standards, people were even complaining that last year was a disappointing year for OSTs.

If not, then chances are it'll appear on the second soundtrack.

So I've finally gotten this OST, and it's exceeded all my expectations, even after some of the things you guys have been saying. I would never have expected the male chorus and that double keyboard melody to be from the same piece (Majestic Overture). It's almost electro-jazz with how freeform most of the pieces are.

The pieces are quite good IMO, but I would only give it a 8/10 because of 2 reasons....

1. The musical taste is somewhat lacking, a little too ordinary in most pieces.
2. There is no specific tune named for my waifu.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

Somehow I feel I should have expected that. Still, it is one of the more unique OSTs to come out of this season.

Yeah..it kinda lack of epic feeling...like Code Geass OST.

the closer one would be Majestic Overture..that all.

after listen to the OST, i can come to the conclusion there wont be very dark theme for this anime or the series wont turn 180 for more darker theme.

This is only the first OST, we have no idea what direction the story will take.

Seem like jumping to conclusion is anime watchers' trend recently.

Having a dark theme = good? Having a dark theme = epic? No, I don't think so.

And yea, how you come to your conclusion doesn't work as well.

Hey Duo, listen to No.25 SORAKAKE GIRL, then listen to Lord of Elemental's Wind of La Gias. I mentioned back in the Sorakake general thread, it played immediately when Takane crashes the party in episode 7 and lets Aleida break her shackles, awesome theme.

Really nice theme, but somehow it gives a completely different impression from the first half and second half. Kinda cool, just like Wind of La Gias in the first half, but somehow it turns into cheerful tune in the second half.

Not like I'm complaining. I'm just surprised.

That's progressive rock, it progresses like a story. Its like orchestrals, except its rock instruments, very cool stuff.

QT could be equivalent to Prana and there could be QT God Machines.

The Code Geass OST was made to be that way though. The Sora Kake Girl score is almost deliberately understated.

Again...I say from what I heard from the OST, at least we know the series wont going for darker theme...since most of the theme rather lively. I never said darker theme is good...i wonder where you got the idea that i said darker theme is good..huh

and I am right for saying that the OST isn't epic because in fact, it isnt epic. You dont expect me to make a lies to say this OST rocks because all the song is made of epic. I just merely stated my thought for this OST.

and most the epic song usually come from darker anime, I never heard any epic song from a lively anime so far.

Geez...what with you anyways?

You should have seen we're reacting somewhat negative to your post, that's because you've put it in a way that seems negative. You're implying alot of disappointment which we don't find in the OST. We're just stating our thoughts about your thoughts as well.

You're making us think that your impression is that there's no epicness so its no good, even if that's not what you have intended, but we felt like it from your post.

Anyway all my epic songs come from super robot anime and most of them are not dark. Your opinion of epic may also be different from my epic, like I thought track no. 25 SORAKAKE GIRL was epic. It came with Takane's epic debut and duel with Aleida.

*throws a battleaxe at noobita* So you are saying Honoka's theme isn't epic enough for you?

IMO, the ED is pretty epic, considering how the opening is so mellow, then it launches into a lively beat.

Code Geass has a more aristocratic feel to it due to the theme of the anime revolving around royalty. Sorakake's music pretty much exemplifies what Einstein said about quantum physics :

I am like a child entering a library full of books, all of different topics, all in different tongues. I may not know how to read every single one of them, but somehow I feel that I may be able to understand them all one day.

Yea the 2nd OP really pales in comparison to the 1st OP.

The 1st OP is really outstanding in both song and presentation.
