It's pretty weird how all this intel agencies don't even have Suou's name to begin with. Pretty fishy stuff here.

I'm expecting Suou's pictures of Shion from episode 1 to be a twist later on that reveals what's going on there.

Considering how Hei was searching for the meteor fragment initially and forgot about it later, I can imagine the indignant cries of 'lol plothole' later.

Isn't it possible that Hei might not regain his powers? There's really no guarantee of that happening, even with all the emphasis about BK-201's powers being very special and everything.

I guess we'll find out next episode.
My thoughts exactly. Long rectangular container and all it does is open up a small hole to reveal it's contents.

Boom, with the hole in a wall, there goes the logic again.
I guess script writer hasn't lived in a blockhouse. What happens when you shot a gun inside apartment/hotel? You can start counting minutes before the police arrives - its a sure thing that some concerned neighbour will make a call. And thats not talking about blowing holes in a building wall. Guess the ever so logical contractors didnt see a threat there, so they spent a night as if nothing happened. And to their surprise? someone actually noticed the hole next day.

First, wasn't it mentioned in the previous episode that the place was a bankrupt, abandoned love hotel? Chances are there probably is nobody else in that entire building. It doesn't seem to be in a residential area either, so chances are that there's nobody living nearby. I see no logical flaw with assuming their action considering the above two facts. I mean, seriously, what are the chances that somebody's going to go "Hello, police? I was walking along an abandoned redlight district at midnight when I heard a loud bang from an abandoned building. Can you please send some officers to come check it out?"

The logic behind it, the way they were trying to work it, was that construction work that were going all around would drown out the boom from an anti-tank rifle. coughbullshitcough

A lot of the success for DtB came from the fact it was so archaic that didn't exceed 3 episodes to conclude a story. This season, however, a gigantic 12 episodes arc to tell one story. All these inconsistencies, as a result, is a like middle finger during a praying session that is becoming so obvious. Yes.. I thought up that analogy all by myself at 6 am in the morning.

(Hei enters truck)

STOP! You've activated my trap card!

(Doors shut)

I have no doubt Izanami is made a up machine with no purpose, other than to bait hei into capture and study since he "survived" the anti contractor killing thingy that took his powers. No coincidence an *important* device thats due for transport was leaked to Hei who happened to be nearby.
With the way Hei gets payments, you could tell whoever they're working for, aren't careful of false information.

EDIT: Or Yin can be in the box. =O

We have a winner at last....
How can you guys not be able to separate a goose, a swan and a crane? xD

About the episode. That's it, Hei's in his hobo mode is because lack of foods. Just feed him and he will back to his nice self (confirmed previously from Havoc case).
The humour of Suou's foods ease the tension. Haha, Hei need to teach her something more than just martial art and assassin tips

Also, now we knows why they have to sleep inside the bath tube...... and poor Hei, can't act cool when it's freezing outside

Finallly managed to watch it!
First reaction: do we really have to see the creepy magical girl transformation in every episode?
But Hei is eating again, yay!

That contractor-mum was really lucky that Hei lost his powers. She'd be fried to a crisp! I wonder if baking is her remuneration. That would be interesting. She has to look for an oven every time she uses her powers?

I wonder who Hei works for. If I'm not losing it completely, it was mentioned that CIA is as sonfused by his movements as anyone else, so who who who is givining him missions? It must be someone not very professional (money under the phone??).
btw doesn't the phone in the middle of nowewhere strike anyone as strange?

Ok enough ranting.
I'm liking the soundtrack more and more

That phone is such a Cliché.
And I believe he works for Madame Oreille as I have a feeling she knows where he is at any time (;

1. I'm rewatching season one and I prefer the continuous plot of season two to the little arcs focusing on secondary characters. Especially when the silly detective and his assistant are involved. I'm finding S1 both highly enjoyable and a little Mickey Mouse at the same time. The new show also looks better to me. But it is true that possible illogicalities assume more importance in a less episodic plot.

2. The hole in the wall did attract attention: section 3 came. Probably the police informed them? But it did seem to shift the level of discourse from realistic to cartoon. Except that the psychological implication for Suou was pretty interesting.

3. The crane would have been shards spread over a large area of water: not much to eat, and hard to get at without making yourself pretty obvious..

4. The meteor fragment locket isn't a plot hole, it's Chekhov's gun. Sure, hobo should have realized what it was, as we did. Aren't we smart, lol?

5. The phone is either silly or classic. I'll take classic. Hobo has no cell phone and no land line. Needs an isolated pay phone.

6. The gun and the construction noise makes enough sense for the purpose. A man and two kids living in a shack under a major bridge would be more of a dead give-away. But it's an interesting feeling: the country in the city.

7. As for the magical girl scene, just lie back and enjoy it. I think of it as representing visually the wrenching transformation she feels at the time.

8. I wasn't bothered by the lack of water by the car, but I sure noticed it.

9. Yeah, he's working for Madame Oreille. Who sells to the CIA and others.

One interesting point. Look at the conversation between Hei and Mao in the hotel. Quoted from BSS sub.

Quote:
Hei: She's a contractor, yet there's no consistency to her behaviour. She hasn't lost her interests, either.
Mao: There were too many things that she didn't know of to begin with. She must've been incomplete as a human. And then she turned into a contractor.
Hei: A contractor to learning to be human.
Some may say that they're talking about Suou's growing-up. But I believe it would be more than that. Then, "why is Suou unstable as a contractor?" I don't think "because she is a kid" is a correct answer. Compare Suou with other contractors of her age. Shion already acted like a grown-up contractor. Also, we saw that Tanya's behaviour and way of thinking were completely changed overnight.

Two answers are possible. First, it's a typical plot hole: Main characters are emotional and secondary characters are emotionless. Needless to say, Suou is a main character and Tanya is a side character.

The other possibility is that, as Mao points out, Suou, unlike Tanya, was "incomplete as a human" from the beginning. That is, she was not a normal human. For example, she could have been a doll who was programmed to act like a human. But it's still a wild guess.

Every episode? I don't think so! Later they will stop it and make an excuse like this: "Suou is now accustomed to being a contractor, so she does not have to repeat undressing and re-dressing whenver she summons the gun."

Don't count her lucky yet! The plot needs another living target for Suou's gun!

What i took from it is: she's still a kid, so things that may be rational in her brain, may not in Hei's or Mao's.

@hei: just an personal opinion, but i like your avatar very much (Amber!!!), but your signature seriously haunted me, in a negative sense....

Just watched, this episode is a little slowpoke but it's good likewise. The story is progressing a lot, more than I expected.

I don't think it's only about being rational. They talked about all the attributes of contractors: consistency, emotions, interests, etc. Being rational is part of it, I think.

OK, I changed it. Actually, I thought it's better than a pic of Hei with other girls (except Amber)!

That's obvious from the first episode that she's no ordinary human but I would disagree about her being a doll, I mean...can dolls even become contractors?

That's rich coming from Hei - the most illogical and inconsistent contractor ever

Methinks there's something fishy with Suou's contractor powers. Maybe she's still kind-of-human, just like Hei. After all, Mao doesn't really know why she is the way she is, so his explanation might be just another guess.
