Very ugly nose in that guy! Well, the Madhouse's involvement has my interest even though I wasn't very impressed with the promotional video. I like the character design though I wish the style could have been replicated from those manga covers. Any mention of when this one is scheduled to air?

Yeah the guys noses are really ugly >.< but at least the noses of the bishoujos are cute (or at least looked so from that PV).

There's still no mention of its broadcast date.

Fixed.

The promitinal didn't really show much as to what the series about. I assume it's racing?

No something much darker than that, I think >.<

Ikki is really going gangbusters on the media tie-ins this quarter. Not bad for a magazine with a circulation of about 15,000.

Slightly back from the dead bump but bought Vol 1-8 today because I've been looking for it for awhile now (poor wallet) and finished a quick run through them. And wow, this is a really good manga. If this show is half as good as the manga, it's gonna be awesome. =o

I am definitely in for this show. Now for an airdate or at least a confirmation that it's still alive ;(.

Edit: Wow, I bumped this guy one year from when this thread was created.

Hrm, Mostly stuff from the previously trailer that was released. Character designs look a little different from that trailer but it's MUCH closer to the manga now. Tamayo looks awesome. =o

So, for anyone interested in what the series is like, I'm almost done working on Vol. 1 of the manga (took me 6 days lol). It still needs some editing though. Here's a few samples.

If Madhouse, etc can match Kasahara's drawing style (which shouldn't be that much of a stretch if they put effort into it), the show is gonna look great. =o

Heh, broadcast has finally been decided for January 2009. The first two episodes will apparently be screened in Jinbouchou's theatre on December 20. Digital Frontier, which was mentioned as coupling with MAD HOUSE on animation production, isn't mentioned anywhere in this announcement, just MAD HOUSE. Official website will be accessible on rideback-anime.jp.

If anyone has time to look into the cast, here is the info.

Woo, I guess that was what Kasahara was talking about when he said it'd be soon. Yay!

Mizuki Nana as Rin eh, interesting choice but I guess it could work. Toyoguchi Megumi as Shouko? Pretty awesome.

I really should get to work on doing more of the manga now I guess.

Anywayz, this series looks awesome. With Madhouse behind it, most of their works had been impressive for me, looking forward to this

New teaser?

Just ran on that while browsing YouTube. Guess it's new, since it has the 2009 release date and the artwork that's being used on the website.

Anyway, if that's the OP, it sounds good. Really love MELL. Looking forward to this ever since I read the first volume of the manga. Shame there isn't more >:3

EDIT: Is there any word on who's doing the OST? Curious about that.
