It's a 22 episode series, and all the characters are supposed to have background stories and pasts which make them who they are. I don't think anyone will die for shock value. I think it's more likely they'll spend the first half of the show developing the characters, and then the shit will hit the fan in the second half and people will start dying.

No. Both Robotics;Notes and Psycho-Pass are full 22 ep shows.

I'm not entirely sure but I think the winter TV anime is different from the movie since the winter TV show was mentioned after the movie was announced.

No, that's a different project. It was already announced long before he gave that interview. He is working on another TV series for the Winter season. It just hasn't been announced yet.

I just hope he's not overworking himself. The quality of his work hinges on being creative and too much work at the same time tends to hinder one's ability to come up with new ideas (just look at Okada*).

My first reaction upon reading up on this show:

1) WTF is this doing on NoitaminA? Is IGN going to make taking up a NoitaminA slot with some stupid show like Guilty Crown a thing now?

Then I saw the screenplay is by Urobachi Gen, and I was mollified. Yes, I do still believe NoitaminA should not be the slot for shows like this, but if they can't find themselves some quality shows in the vein of all the quality slice of life/josei/etc they used to show, I'm guessing there could be far worse things than to put an Urobachi Gen show in their place.

Of every new show this season, this has instantly become my most anticipated. Sure, Gen is going to deliver a turd eventually, but until he does, he gets my most feverish fan boy benefit of the doubt.
