They're both known all around school as the comedian duo for looking like nothing but funny while standing beside each other. Due to this fact, they've been on one another's bad side ever since they first met.

One day, a new transfer student shows up and he happens to be very tall! Koizumi immediately gets interested in this boy and Otani suddenly proposes a silly idea to Koizumi. The idea is that they are to help each other out to get their respective love interests by all means! Koizumi undoubtedly agrees to this but as in all other shoujo mangas, things never turn out the way people want it to.

I just got confirmation, Piano no Mori IS being direct by Masayuki Kojima. A man extremely capable in adapting manga to anime. He's known for Monster, Hanada Shonen-shi (a prior work of Piano no Mori author; Makoto Isshiki) and A Spirit of the Sun.

Not a huge fan of Kamen Rider-esque shows (The Skull Man is by the same mangaka, Ishimori Shotaro), but I see BONES credited on the website. Can anyone confirm if they're doing the animation production?

You know, looking at teh character designs and the layout, I really cannot help but be reminded of Aquarion.

Except that maybe this is not meatn to be crack.

Or maybe it is.

On the other hand, I really love the character designs for this. Not necessarily the actual designs (they're a bit stereotypical) but the faces, the drawings - it's got a lovely feel ot it. Reminds me a bit of Ken'ichi Yoshida (which is always a good thing)


As for Skull Bones, not only is it Studio Bones' animation production, it's scripted and the skullman designs are by Yutaka Izubuchi (Rahxephon's director) Character desings by Jun (or Atsushi???) Shibata, off the top of my head I think he did the designs for 2x2=Shinobuden, either way he is/was a ufotable guy... And music is by Shirou Sagisu (Evangelion, KareKano iirc).

But the director is Takeshi Mori. Bleh.

Oooh, that is good news. Taking a cursory look at the Wikipedia page I hope they opt for the 1970 version (brutal anti-hero investigated by hard bitten cop) rather than the 1990 version (masked avenger battling giant insects and Rasputin, lol).
