Discussing an adaptation without mentioning the source material is practically impossible. I have no objection against removing stuff out of the spoilers box, but I've just had deleted posts with spoiler marked material, which is highly unfair in my opinion. Once material is spoiler marked, no one can be blamed on whether is seen or not but the person clicking on it.

Taking away altogether the comparison points between the manga and the anime makes for a completely context-free, clueless and frankly poorer altogether discussion, and doubly affects those who were familiar with the source material and want to discuss the changes between them, which once again, is of no harm whatsoever to the rest of the board as long as it's properly spoiler marked. It's lowering the bar for criticism and praise of the adaptation issues, which become necessary to debate since the series doesn't exist in a vacuum, it's an adaptation of previously existing material and must be treated as such.

UQ Holder adds a whole level of difficulty to this by the promotional material and seiyuu list, well, already doing what you have forbidden from doing here, that is, jumping ahead to future comparison points with the manga. Anyone with working eyes and a mild interest on the series has already seen those images, know what they mean in the context of the whole franchise, and trying to push the genie back into the bottle is pretty much pointless. While I do agree for the sake of newcomers non-spoiler marked discussion of future plot points even as comparison marks must be forbidden, the nature itself of this adaptation and its presentation, as dictated by the creators themselves, makes such comparisons all but necessary for the proper analysis of the series' structure buildup. Surely a middle of the road compromise can be reached, because otherwise there's not much of a point on analyizing the series as what it is, an adaptation.

The Source Material Thread can have that use, with good reason for that.
Normally, the Anime Thread is for those following the series, both source material readers and anime-only viewers.

NapoleonDeCheese, xrick's suggestion is the forum's official answer to your concerns. Discussion of the anime that involves future content information belongs in the source material's thread where such knowledge already exists.

As for why you can't use spoiler boxes to conduct future content discussions in the anime threads, I'll explain. Years of history has proved that future content in spoiler boxes rarely stay in spoiler boxes. (1) Quoted posts will drop the spoiler boxes. Or (2) Users will respond to a spoiler post without putting their comments in spoiler boxes. Future content spoilers will get out. A spoiler box to hide future content is a great idea in theory, but not such a great idea in practice.

He stated he had already seen her naked before, during their 2 years living together, so it might be nothing new to him

Also the fact that the whole sexuality thing seems to be an utterly unfamiliar thing. Like he only wanted to get a peek at her because it's "customary" and he wanted to climb that cliff.
So he is ambivalent of the prize and prizes the journey.

Indeed. At present he doesn't actually understand why he should care about seeing girls naked. He only did it because he was told it was a thing guys do.

Aww, and here I thought I might be able to see some of the old crew from the previous anime at a older age. It however seems like they're all dead due to old age. Immortality does suck when the people you love cannot stay with you forever. I'm actually somewhat confused as to why atleast Chachamaru isn't around with Eva. I mean machines are somewhat immortal.

Well... Eva was easily beaten in episode 1... so the guy's not really wrong that Eva looked weaker than 80 years ago when she pretty much freeze everything with ease.

Remember, ppls in here only cares about "attack power" not bodies.

In fact... you quoted

pretty much explains it.

Eva had a magic sealing bracelet put on her by her surrogate son. That's why she got beaten.

Kinda like Negi did to himself during the finals arc.

Allthough I find it strange at least a bit that she didn't have something in her sleve for these kinds of situations.

The thing is, once she got scattered all over the floor the bracelet would have sooner or later been taken off breaking the seal, wouldn't it? And in any case she kept being immortal, so getting beaten doesn't really take opponents anywhere.

How easy it was to "beat" her may also boil down to the adaption.
Spoiler for manga difference:

No I deleted it because that is more or less a full breech of the rules.
That should be explained in the next episode though

I got mixed thoughts on the pacing of this show so far. Sure, we got introduction of the main characters but that random flashback of Negi and the others..

At least we got some of the more prominent UQ Holder members introduced this week.

Hmm, so Gengoro's type of immortality is a stock of lives, like in a game...interesting. Still, I wonder how he gets additional lives.

Also, that half-baked censor blob when Touta's arm was mangled by Elias the weight of the gravity sword. Imo, they could've done something better than censoring...like thick steam, or something

Wow, that's a lot of changes there.

Skipping Shinobu to introduce her in episode 3 as a regular char in that kind of setup isn't really too bad.
However, I'm not sure why they completely changed the test and training portions like that, moreso when it lead to some inconsistency/hole in the immortality stuff. It might be explained later, but that already screwed a bit Kuroumaru.

On a side note, I can't believe they used the frames where Karin falls twice even though she merely stumbled before Touta sweep her feet. That was awkward as hell.
