I don't think Zero has much to worry about, she was still portrayed as a bad melee combat fighter while on an Is at least, it's just that outside of an IS she can take on most average joes in close combat due to the standard training given to people like her.

She's probably proficient enough to keep standing after one punch.

Well then, considering I put everyone at more balanced stat according to my personal preferences, there's chances that someone getting a hit from the nerf stick with or without me realizing it.

Akatsubaki being one of them (as the consequence of upping Houki's skill), and now Cecilia's CQC is... well, at the same level as canon or below, while Ichika is upped by a notch (will be shown in chapter 12).´Д｀

I am still in the firm belief that Cecilia is weak in cqc compared to her peers only on merit of her not using it as much

I used the 'lack of willingness' as the reason, she consider CQC barbaric, hence why it took her a lot of time to summon her table knife CQC blade (as in up to 10 second, compared to ~2-3 second for normal people and ~1 second for pro/talented such as Char).

EDIT: and yes, Cecilia is weakest of all harems in CQC, except Ran, maybe Kanzashi too but I don't know about that.

Anyone knew about Kanzashi's CQC capability? Cos her unit lacks melee weapon and rapid fire guns (Which is a NIGHTMARE in a dogfight)

Uh, doesn't her Uchigane Nishiki have a Halberd (Pole Axe) for close range and a missile system for long range?

I remember her having those in Vol.7 of the Light Novels.

I am surprised it's not Naginata and Yari though, you know, Traditional Japanese Halberd and spear often carried by a Samurai's wive and militia, respectively in that order. Or is that Translation Convention again? because Ling's weapon package is named [Landslide]...

Anyway, interesting, worse than Cecilia then.

This chapter is named [Call of the Stars], so it will focus on how these 3 girls start their day. It ends when they are on their way to the testing area. So far, there's Karon's breakfast, Gin meeting Cecilia, then a rapidfire series of perspective jumps as each one takes different transports still to do, then I'll post it up after post-production.

The next few chapters will be shorter, I think. Chapter 2 is the obligatory [And It Was Named Vandam...]

For the record, Kanzashi's Is isn't exactly 100% complete, and the only time we see it in action was an ambush.
