Yes, Pitou is a noob, but that's exactly what makes the ants so scary. Pitou is only a few weeks old, while Pouf, Youpi and the king are younger still. Just think about that fact for a moment. It shows the ants' amazing potential. These four are essentially newborn creatures who can go toe-to-toe with the very best hunters in the world, hunters who have spent years, sometimes decades, perfecting their skills.

And the king, at least, still hasn't reached his fullest potential. His matches with Komugi have shown him evolving his mind with extraordinary speed, to the point where Pouf can no longer follow their progress at all.

I caught the Trachoma. That means I have to rest my eyes away from the computer for the next days. That means no anime, and no comparison from me this week.

Wow! The last third of that episode... Utterly fascinating on so many levels. It almost brings a tear to my eye.

And not gonna lie... This episode felt like ten minutes. And considering the episode went by in slow motion, that's saying something.

You just wouldn't expect your average shonen to have an emotional resonance so seemingly profound on this level. And yes, every episode feels so goddamn short.

It's amazing how one minute of real time for our protagonists can be stretched out so much and yet still remain fascinating to watch. This is Namek done right. Akagi is another anime that managed to pull such a feat.

Youpi's horrifying transformations remind me of Parasyte. Definitely disturbing.

Here's a question for you: how did Killua instantly recognize his grandpa's Dragon Dive when he had no clue what nen was until a few months ago?

Well, what's to assume Killua had to know what Nen was to know his grandfather had a special attack named Dragon Dive. Gon was able to perform Zetsu without knowing what Nen was after all.

Killua deduced Zeno was there based on the presence of Dragon Drive. If he's never seen Dragon Dive before and only knows the name then he's not going to immediately assume that those falling stars is Dragon Dive, much less in a split second.

His grandfather could have described or showed the skill to him once.

Just picture the scene.

Zoldyck household, a few years ago. Killua's age: 3

Silva: Dad, can you put Killua in bed? I've got to go kill this guy who...

Zeno: Ah, whatever. Tsk. Who am I, your babysitter? Here, Killua, in bed, be good, grandpa's going to tell you a story. Once upon a time, in a distant land, there was a king...

Killua: Is it a fairytale?

Zeno: No, it's not a fairytale. It's a story that happened to your grandpa. So, there was this king, and I was sent to kill him. But I couldn't come anywhere near him 'cos he had too many guards and also my contract asked me to avoid being seen, so I made fucking energy dragons rain on his palace and killed everyone! The end. Now sleep and don't be a pain in the ass.

Killua went back to the Zoldyck mansion in order to create his YoYo.

I might be wrong, but I always thought that not all Nen techniques are invisible to people that don't use Nen.

The previous episode flashed back to two minutes ago, so technically more than a minute has passed. Just not since Gon and the rest entered the portal.

You'll know that 10 seconds have passed once APR makes his warning.

Edit: It seems likely to me that the Main Stairway and the King's Room are slightly off sync in the timing. Unless we're supposed to assume that the King was grieving at the speed of sound or something.
