Why is this generally seen as such an undesirable nowadays? Frankly I think it makes action sequences more dynamic and engaging...and more than a little amusing at times.

i dont find it annoying in anime, in games is another story.

They can just show the name of the attack. I have seen something like that in Tales of Abyss. I think it would be better than shouting the names but it won't disturb me.

I'd much prefer if there were no shouting or skill name flashing at all; I think it'd suit the premise of a MMO better that way.

Well we have to wait... They won't scream all the time so it's not something important. I think that the skills animation is something important

Hopefully. Skills animation is definitely important. It's probably one of the things I'm looking forward to.

0k, so I was thinking of start reading the LN now, but do you guys think I should watch the Anime before reading th LN, like I did with Zero no tsukaima, or should I start reading the LNB already?

watched the anime before the light novel. Reading the light novel and learning what will happen will only lessen the fun and it will just bring frustration if it changes from the light novel.

Its a matter of perspective... even if the story is the same, they are different media and thus one should approach them with another eye. But its not important...

Princess lover got a TV series that was pretty lame, and some hentai OVAS as well... its not unheard of, so they may approach this road with chapter 16,5 if the series does well enough to generate some hard line fans.

Hmm...if I'm not mistaken, it's an interview of Kirito's seiyuu, Matsuoka Yoshitsugu.

Did some checking on the voice cast, and found funny how some of the heroines voice characters in Accel World.
The best example would be Hidaka Rina who voices Scilica and Yuniko/Scarlet Rain.

Ohh...I can already imagined the fanart once SAO airs

Sao is probably one of the biggest anticipations this season. Also, i'd prefer no skill name shouts. Its weird, just skill light and sfx will do

Shouts are kind of awkward, but just someone thinking the skill names and descriptions wouldn't be unwelcome in my book/headhones.
