I felt the episode is completely pointless, but hey, if it gave the studio a proper break to get back on track on the following episodes then I'll wait that 2nd week for a next episode. Still a bummer of course.

It's not even an interesting recap. No background info or anything. What a waste of an episode. It's only 7 episodes in too. Why would they do this?

Going by Shirobako, they failed to imrprison the directorr in his office on time and he thus didn't manage to complete the episode

Man the recap was pointless, the plot and characters are not so terribly complex. In fact, the whole show is quite easy to follow.

Is this a record? A recap after 7 eps. I don't remember any series with a so early recap.

Haven't seen that happen with a single cour show since God Eater, I think? I hope that doesn't mean they have production problems.
Don't hold your breath on that. It's usually what it means and with how rough DRRR!!!x2 production was and with Shuka still being a new studio it's completely believable sadly.

I don't think I've seen any issues with the DRRR show.

The last recap episode I've watched was Kekkai Sensen....that one was good. This one seems like being put together in a hurry, not very well cohesion and the narrative voice didn't seem to have the time to do it right(even the volume isn't well adjusted). Perhaps it's a last minute decision when the staff yelling "Bansaku tsukitaaaaa!!!"

About Episode 8, holy crap i didn't see that coming. What a surprise. I was expecting some slowdown until the final, but yeah it kind of makes the progression more intense.

Holy mother of God, I did not see that end coming. Of all the people in the show, Fango dies at the hands of Corteo

Holy crap. I definitely didn't see that coming. The scene was well excuted.

Corteo is now to far into this to walk away anymore. He had his chance earlier, but decided to work with Fango.

Wow. I was totally expecting Corteo to not make it out of the episode alive, so that ending was a big surprise. Let's face it, Fango has had it coming to him for a long time and didn't expect someone like Corteo to do anything but run scared.

Excellent episode.

I also suspect Angelo was behind having the FBI man's wife and daughter go in the garage, having the same effect in stopping the investigation without sinking to murdering the innocent.

That was pretty surprising for me. Wasn't expecting Corteo to actually kill Fango (thought it would be the opposite way around). Now I wonder if Nero will find out who the real traitor will be?

Intense episode. Glad to see the show return in full force.

[Obligatory didn't-see-that-coming remark]

I am also quite surprised that Fango let his guard down though. He was vulnerable as fuck.
