I've just started reading the occasional manga using KDE on Linux. I find the easiest thing is just to open the directory or compressed file with Konqueror which allows you to navigate from page to page. There's also a view that includes thumbnails.

Then there's the portrait vs. landscape problem. I have Dell monitor on a rotating stand so I can turn it 90° into the portrait mode. A little searching on the Internet shows that you can use the "xrandr" command to rotate the image on screen. So I enter the command "xrandr -o left" in a terminal window and, voilą, the pages appear in portrait mode.

To get back to landscape mode type "xrandr -o normal".

For the past month or two been reading at OneManga and MangaFox, but just started reading them via downloads again.

I use Mac OS X so my viewer of choice is Simple Comic. On Windows, the best is by far CDisplay.

In terms of online manga readers, I tend to drift to either Onemanga, Mangafox, or AnimeA. Though I mainly stick to Mangafox these days, it has some series that Onemanga dropped that I like.
