BIG QUESTION!:

If Natsu eats fire, Gazille eats metal, and Cobra supposedly eats poison, then what does the sky dragon slayer eat for her powers?

the problem with Wendy was that she wasn't suppose to be a battle type, so she can breath/eat as much as she wants and all she'll be able is to heal people and such.

I'd say the next arc should be about Dragons because it's better to introduce more DragonSlayers durring such arc instead of giving one or two in something completly irrelevant again. I know that this big arc seems like summing it all up and wraping it all up with all those special mages, but I guess the story can go on. Like steen and thunder dragonslayers are now on their own, so after this big arc all others DS could get to their own buissness.

For the record, Luxus is NOT a Dragon Slayer, this has been stated in the manga, so I'm not sure why people keep insisting he is.

The Dragon Slayers we have seen:

Natsu: Fire
Gazelle: Steel
Wendy: Air
Cobra: Poison

I do have a feeling a Dragon Slayer Arc will eventually show up, possibly after this entire Dark Guild arc, or over the course of it.

If I remember well, air is actually lost magic, implying that it doesn't have so much to do with air than it does with life...at least that's the impression I got.

EDIT- Ok, it was sait in 128 chapter that thanks to this strange substance Luxor became a fake Dragon Slayer, but that's still counts somehow, right?

Cobra thinks they are extinct not that they didn't exist.

Okay, this chapter exceeds my expectation. We anticipated that Cobra is another fake, but the way it was presented was very interesting; a distinction between traditional dragon slayers and lachrymal dragon slayers.

And Natsu defeated Cobra with a fucking ROAR! Awesome and quite unexpected. I hope we will be able to see more unique dragonish characteristics that lachrymal dragon slayers can't copy, in the future. Dragon breath, dragon claw, dragon wing, dragon roar, anything else left beside a completed dragon transformation itself?

anyways, was a pretty interesting way to defeat him, wasn't amazing but ok. Cinocard, I just started thinking about pokemon now, lol.

The idea that a human learning Dragon Slayer magic is impossible reminded me of Natsu and Gazille getting stuck in the barrier last arc. There's something seriously weird about "true" dragon slayers that I hope we'll get more insight into. This also ties into Cobra's statement that dragons are extinct. More than recently extinct, he implies that they couldn't have existed to teach Natsu etc. Dragons seem to be very odd in this series.

Then again, the author seems to have a poor grasp of chronology if Rave was any indication. He was constantly treating the Symphonian war as ancient history despite being only 50 years ago, among other things. Maybe he just forgot how short a time 7 years is.

On the subject of Wendy, her element is sky, not wind. Although she eats air, her powers seem to be focused on the heavenly/holy aspect of the sky, rather than banal material things like wind.

Anyway, as for the current chapter, I had now problems with how the fight ended. Cobra used ultra-sharp hearing along with his poison abilities help him fight, so it be somewhat logical that a very loud sound would have very nasty effect on him. As for the Dragon Slayers, I am wonding how many are going to be like Natsu and how many are going to be like Cobra in how that magic power was obtained.

Or a "new generation of dragon slayer" I Guess it's good it's not overused but the definitely the concept of dragon slayer is started to get a little stale. But Did Natsu really become a dragon or was that just a representation? I would hope that the old school dragon slayers have an advantage over the fakes. The Battle ended rather anti-climatically though. Hopefully that Dragon lachyria or whatever is rare.
