There wasn't a thread on the series list, and other threads I found about YUA were locked, so I decided to start a new thread.

I just finished a marathon of watching through the 1st season, movie, and 2nd season.

I was hesitant on starting this show, because it didn't seem that interesting to me. After finishing it all, I'm in love with the show.

I AM IN LOVE WITH NATSUMI

The only thing that really bothered me was the really slow pace of Miyuki and Ken's relationship.

After 77 episodes and a movie, they never had a real kiss. I found myself yelling at the screen several times on what a coward Ken is whenever he tries to confess and fails.

Also, anyone know how old the captain is? I remember in one episode he said he was 50 or something, but he seems like he's in his 40s...??

I personally like Miyuki better. As for her relationship never getting anywhere, well the manga series that the anime is based upon is by the same mangka as the one for Ah! My Goddess I believe. The relationship in that one never gets anywhere either.

I loved the OVA (which became the first 4 or so episodes of the TV show), but the TV show itself just did not hold my attention. There should have been more car chases like the opening sequence where they meet.

Miyuki was cool, but Yoriko was my favorite.

Quality wise, the 2nd season was as good as the OVA. Also, that highschool girl who wanted to be a cop finally joined the ranks. What I liked best was the drama that unfolded

when Natsumi was offered a position in regional headquarters, putting Miyuki into distress just like in OVA 4, only much worse, enough to nearly wreck their friendship, as well as Miyuki's developing relationship with Ken, and this crisis lasted about half a dozen episodes (fortunately, Ken helped a bit in Miyuki pulling herself together).

This anime doesn't interest me at 1st. Not until the 'trap' join the the team. Natsumi & Miyuki are the best combination ever. And I love Strike Otoko

I also enjoyed the series a lot. Natsumi and Miyuki were like goddesses to me. I love Natsumi more becuase of her tomboyish ways, and her attitude, but I love Miyuki becuase she was a whiz at car mechanics (my dream girl) They both could do what I wish I could do. Ultimate role-models

Ken & Miyuki went to the hot spring together. LOL, somehow everybody was there too Ken almost made a proposal to Miyuki. But damn, something happened & he lost the ring. But it seemed that Miyuki did 'something' to him & he was joyful all of a sudden. I wonder if Miyuki give him a kiss.

They were really dramatic. Thank goodness it ends well.

That is sooo true and it happens all the time in anime. Sometimes I don't have enough courage to watch the end of some series (that includes You're Under Arrest)....yeah yeah I know but there is no way i can hold in the tears after the series ends
