[NDS] Subarashiki Kono Sekai (release date 27/07/2007)

Subarashiki Kono Sekai (formally known as "Itīs a Wonderful World"),
is the next new IP from Squareenix for the DS.
It is going to be release on the 27 July 2007 in japan.
The game is directed by Tatsuya Kando,
with help from Tetsuya Nomura and Takeharu Ishimoto.

The game deals with Neku, who finds himself in Shibuya
and forced to take part in a game called "Game of Death"
by the Shinigami Corp.
He has to survive 7 days in Shibuya to complete the game or
his existence will be wiped out of the planet.

The player controls Neku with the touchscreen around shibuya.
To interact with npc, the game uses a mind reading system,
rather than the standard talking system.
You can also manipulate thoughts of the people by forcing keyworld
into their minds, so you can unlock events.

During battles you control neku on the bottom screen with the stylus
and the partner character on the top screen using the digipad,
can be switch to automatic if wanted.

What impresses me is the art direction of the game and the soundtrack.
Futhermore although the idea to control 2 character simutanously isn't new,
in this case quite interesting, how it is done here.
This game definitely deserves attention.
Sadly no overseas release has been confired yet.

Check out the official homepage.
You can also find PVs from 2006 (TGS 2006) and 2007 (SE party 2007) on it,
press the bottom button and then PV.
