I dont read the novels because i waitet for 2nd anime

But the footage is the real highschool they copyed for the anime or ?

But i now some spoiler the things with Mr. Smith, and the part that was telled Kyon (in first season) about Haruhi drawing signes for Aliens in midleschool.

I don't know about that, but it should represent the middle school that Haruhi attended 3 years ago.

It's just supposed to be a video related to the announcement, and well that's all that really matters ^^

Perhaps you are analysing this more than it should be ^^;

BTW, for anyone that hasn't noticed, those photos in the "newspaper article" in one of the scans eggplant linked to in first post is from what happened in the video. Anyway, has anyone seen the whole video yet?It's still going at about 21:19 for me ^^;

Edit: nvm, the video's finished, nothing special appeared at the end though. So perhaps the flash video on www.haruhi.tv will have something but that's not loading for me. Maybe there's too many people visiting the site. Is it (the video) loading for anyone else?

Nah, not working for me either. It looks like the flash video in the web-newtype site has actually been taken down, so it was indeed a one-off event. So now we just have to wait to see if the one on the main Haruhi site is a new video or a repost.

The Haruhi site is either being updated again, or was killed by the traffic...

Does KyoAni know what they were getting themselves into, by uploading a flash video on their site and making ALL the Haruhiists logging onto it simultaneously?

This is the Flash video that someone apparently recorded and posted on nicovideo. However, this might only be used for people who have Nicovideo before, since new users can't log in until 10AM PST. Luckily to them I'm not a "new user" anymore.

Geez, it's a 22 minute video?! No wonder haruhi.tv's having problems?
And I don't see the new material on Newtype's page? What am I missing?

Just saw the video. Nice stunt they pulled, but dunno which school they'd do this at...

Though I was hoping for some anime sequence of some sort, even at least 30 seconds of it; if CLANNAD could get a 30-second preview of some sort out, couldn't Haruhi?

The school complex was opposite us. Haruhi started to walk diagonally across the dark track field. It's good that it was so dark, since she wasn't able to see clearly my face or Asahina-san's. In three years time, Haruhi would never have thought that she had met me and Asahina-san while she was in her first year of junior high. So it was good this way, or it'll become troublesome. Haruhi went straight to the corner of the track field and led me to the back of the sports equipment storage. Inside was a rusty wagon, and a chalk-drawing machine hanging behind its wheels, as well as a few bags of chalk powder. Leaning by the fence, the face that turned and looked at me was indeed younger than the commander of the SOS Brigade that I know. That's right, you there. Because I need to watch over you from somewhere afar and see if you've made any mistakes. Ah! You've drawn it wrong there! What're you doing!?" To be able to order around a high school student she never met before without even flustering, there's no doubt this is indeed Haruhi. If I had met this sort of junior high schoolgirl for the first time, I probably would have thought she's mentally insane. If I knew her before meeting Nagato, Asahina-san and Koizumi, that is. That is exactly what is happening in the video.
