Haha, I don't have that problem since I only managed to finish off the first 2 season just recently in time for ORIGINATION to start.

A great episode as always but one that has Akari showing off her skills as an undine, guiding a rare customer around. Although her customer had already been to the places that they arrived at, it's obvious that Akari had put a lot of thought in to her route.

A favourite scene would have to be at the start during the opening, when Akari is planning her route, and Aria-shacou ends up eating all the donuts before she can get to one.

Ahhh, what a great way to end the day, with an episode of Aria. The next few months are going to be great.

One thing I forgot to comment on Episode 2 and it's quite significant. We saw Akari showing off her skills, going down very tight alleys and doing some very tight maneuvering inside the "secret garden".

This is in stark contrast to Hahi-chan being rather unstable in Animation (ep01, 02) or apprehensive going through narrow alleyways in Natural (there was an episode which involved one of the trio going through a narrow alley during the regular practice).

We should also see in ep04 comments on how good Akari is at controlling a gondola.

Today's episode start with Akari and Alice heading towards Aika's place for group studying.While they're discussing about certain things and places in Neo Venezia,and one of the places Akari pointed out was Florian cafe (the cafe where Akari met with the old man who're the owner of the cafe in ARIA the NATURAL).Then Aika suggesting them to have a tea break in that cafe.While they're on their way heading to that cafe,they notice a stall at St Marco with lots of kids lining up in front of it,and it turns out that a guy (Aika stating that the guy is a worker from some restaurant that she knew) giving out a chocolate-in-a-decorated-bottle present to those kids.As usual Akari didn't want to miss her chance to get those special present too from that guy.After they went to the cafe and going back to Himeya's building to continue study,they noticed that the guy already gone.The 2nd half of the story was more about Akari,whom was wondering about the whereabouts of that guy (i think i misheard his name as 'Paticia"???) and why he didn't come back to do his stuff again (giving out chocolates) at St Marco.

To make it short...its another of those wonderful stuffs that involves Akari on it,and once she's on it,she won't just let that wonderful thing gone just like that..its kinda funny to see her saying out "hahi" "hohe" so many times in this episode...the storyline might not be as good as episode 2,but still its a good + nice + beautiful episode,and still i wanna rate it 10/10....

Next episode,Akari with 2 trainee undines from Orange Planet and 1 trainee undine from Himeya..ahh i can't wait for it >"<

Just finished episode 03… and yet another relaxing and heart-warming moment.

I think this one almost made me fall asleep (I’m probably too tired), though it didn’t affect my enjoyment. It was quite beautiful for the most part (these guys are not holding anything back with the artwork). It’s nice to see Akari interacting with more people other than undines. The plot wasn’t exactly the best, but the slow pace and the background music are making this experience something totally different, even after 3 seasons (I don’t really know what to write about).

Yes indeed, I was thinking that myself when I watched it. Akari has been learning. Slowly, like everything in Aria, so it doesn't feel too sudden, but it is clear she has made real progress in how she handles a gondola.

I cannot get over how beautiful the ED is. It doesn't hurt that it has some lovely sleeping-Akari images in it either.

The ED still has yet to grow on me. As for the OP, it sounds surprisingly on my earphones but I still need to figure out a way to tame that subwoofer of mine!

A rather slow episode, even by ARIA standards. It's screaming filler but that's my fault for reading this thread and finding out that it was an "original" episode. It is fairly heartwarming and such but I feel they pushed it a little this time. Despite that, a major highlight is that I'm glad to see them still going flat-out on art and the outdoor band outside the cafe was playing some nice music - can't wait for the OST! Good episode overall but there's been better. It's inevitable some will be good, others not so good in my eyes.

On another note, I've booked my holiday in Venice (because of ARIA d'oh!) and that cafe would be one place I'll be visiting!

Ahh, another nice episode. Not too bad. Kinda wanted to go "shit happens, geez." with Akari's disappointment. And do my ears hear the piano version of the OVA track? Can't wait for an OST.

Although I am quite content with the original cast, I wouldn't mind these undine becoming regulars.

Just a heads up that the OP (Spirale) and ED (Kin no Nami, Sen no Nami) singles for ARIA the Origination go on sale today (January 23, 2008).

I've given them a go and in the Spirale single, there's a possible(?) insert song as well since it sounded very much like the kind of music ARIA would use. The bass is also dumbed down in the Spirale single which was a great relief for me.

For the Kin no Nami, it sounds pretty much the same as the anime and I don't know where the second song on the CD goes in. Nonetheless, very different from the old Choro Club ending songs!

Usually the single comes with songs from the artist but not in anime. It's a way to promote their songs.

Spoiler for Ep.3:

The story is not as good as ep.2, but the artwork is just so beautiful, I didn't really cared. Looks like next ep we'll get to see a few more undines from other companies, so it should be pretty interesting. I wouldn't give this ep.10/10 though, maybe just an 8/10.
