Vista Strange-ness

Not sure if anybody else has encountered this problem but I just fixed it by using Google, so I thought I might as well post an entry here just in case other people might run into the same problem.

I am using 64-bit Vista and I decided to do some modifications to my start menu, so that it will look the way I want it to look and everything worked perfectly fine until I noticed a "start menu" folder on my desktop.

Apparently, there are 3 ways to remove that folder.

1) Go into safe mode. (a waste of time)

2) Use the desktop restore to default settings option. (a hassle)

3) Right-click the start menu and select properties, then switch from classic start menu to start menu. This way, it will remove the start menu folder on the desktop. After that, select classic start menu again and everything will return to the way it was before the start menu folder appeared.
