The strongest person in fairy tail is probably the Marakov. Luxus and Mistgun are about the same but they're not as powerful as the old man yet . The only debatable person is him.

If you're referring to gildartz, it'll be a while before we get to see him. I'd estimate maybe 35-40 more episodes before he appears.

So Lucy really does send letters to dead people. Well the episode was completely devoted to cleanup (literally). Hooray for Levy screen time (and I've recently been able to find Levy fan art too. There's too little minor Fairy Tail characters fan art (Totomaru has heaps though)). The part about the disappearing dragons looks like it should become a good plot arc in the future.

Lucy didn't really get that many good scenes this arc so it was good for her to end on a high note. We can all tell Lucy's a real Fairy Tail wizard by how she's taken up random stripping. Her father wasn't as pure evil as I thought he'd be, just ruthless and uncaring but Lucy still needs to find her own happiness like she said.

Erza said the sky was blue even though it wasn't. The best joke this episode was definitely when Gray insulted Mirajane's picture and Juvia took that as thinking he's mean to all other girls. Though in spite what Natsu, Erza and Happy say Gray still makes a funny straight man.

Anyway next episode they're putting on a play? Should be funny I guess though I have no idea why they'd need to do something like that.

So happy with how Lucy's scene with her Father was handled, and it was a great welcome back to the humor, which some great scenes. Of course the best part was the return of Juvia, who wants 30 babies~

Looks like we're heading into filler material, which i'm fine with. Going by the preview, it looks like it'll be pretty damn hilarious.

Well good that things finally got resolved for Lucy. She really did need to go home and settle things. You had to figure the only reason he tried to get her back was for the sake of an arranged marriage. Living in a pretty amazing place, but it had to be pretty cold after her mother passed away (this year 777 thing is getting interesting considering the timing). Good that Lucy finally found the place she wanted to be and can move forward with her own life.

Loke is looking pretty bad right now. Hunting down the keys, but really ever since that fight with Gajeel he's looked pretty exhausted. Obviously will have to address what's going on with him pretty soon.

About Lucy's mother...

Spoiler for episode29:

Gajeel reveals that the Dragons disappeared in 777th year, in the 7th month, in the 7th week, of the 7th day.

Layla's gravestone reads x748 - x777. I believe she "died" on the same day the dragons disappeared according to another source.

Is Lucy half-dragon? Is it one of those stories where the dad was a pretty cool and happy guy until his wife disappeared? Did he cover up her disappearance so Lucy wouldn't feel abandoned?

It's implied there is a dragon or dragon lord for each type of element, if not magic. Spirit Dragon?

In the manga, Lucy seems to be unaffected to a certain form of seal later on.

By the way, haven't you noticed Makarov has the powers of all past Shonen heroes combined? In his youth he looks like Naruto. His melee attacks resemble those of Luffy. He powers up like Goku and has similar "magic" attacks. He has that golden aura around him just like Goku.

Jubia is by far the best character of fairy tail. And these episodes (and the next arc) are my favorite in the manga because of jubia hilarious/epic moments.

About Jubia:

I think her name is spelled "lluvia" instead of "jubia" because that means "rain" in spanish.

The mangaka of fairy tail and rave master is the same person. In rave master one of the characters is called "musica" (spanish for music) so it makes sense that jubia name is in fact "lluvia".

I dont know why anime keeps making useless changes to the manga. Some are good, but others....are pointless.

They are changing the original jokes of the manga.

I don't think its spoiler to put manga images of this episode to explain that...

-Natsu eating gray lunch changed for erza eating gray lunch (pointless?)

I know that anime doesnt have to be 100% like the manga but...why change natsu for erza eating the lunch?.

That is an interesting theory. While it is possible, I highly doubt it. We have never had any indication that dragons could transform into humans, and even if they could, would they get the ability to mate with a human and produce human offspring? Even if this is true, dragons wouldn't transform anyways. Going by what I have seen of Igneel, dragons are a very proud race so they would never lower themselves to the "human" level by transforming into one. And you are right with the fact that there is a dragon slayer for each type of element. So far, we've seen Natsu(fire), Gazille(steel), and Wendy(sky), but stellar spirit magic isn't another element; it's a different type of magic. Another element would be like Grey using ice. The dragon slayers all learned their powers from the original dragons and it's not likely a dragon was able to do stellar spirit magic. While I think that maybe Layla's death probably does have something to do with the disappearance of the dragons, she herself was most likely not a dragon.

Eh, only one that kinda bugged me was the last one... the line "the sky is so blue" doesn't work so well when the sky isn't blue =p
Changing the scene to sunset did kind of make sense to show time passing though... so it might have been better to change the line with the scene... "the sunset is so beautiful"

Juvia's bentou is Gold! and the way she brought the bentou by drenching Natsu and Happy in water (love this change from manga) really brings out her agitation in having Gray taste her cooking.

Also like Lucy's part too. Her conversation with her dad shows a depth to her character that instantly makes me like her more. (but Juvia is still my #1 fav female character in FT).

really? I was horrified for a moment that they're gonna dive straight to the Laxus arc! Can't recall the preview scene in the manga though.....
