Yes Chizuru is just to scary... That she sometimes forces Ika to do things o.o (well its not really forcing... Its just scaring Ika to submission)

Man, anyone really pleasantly surprised by the new anime characters?

Because in the original manga, it is kinda lonely with only Ikamusume and the Lemon stand family and a few friends.

Nagisa is such an awesome addition!

Endless squid puns.

Too bad they're not as easy to make as bear puns...

They might just ditch it altogether like Suiseki's "desu"

I hope they leave it in.-kuma It's part of the charm of the show. -kuma

I say leave it as is, untranslated. It bothers me when I see Ika-chan translated as "Little Ika", for example. Don't anime viewers, as a rule, know what "-chan" means? I this they can figure this out. -degeso.

The anime doesn't bring about the real realtionship between Ika and the Lemon people.

Eiko for example was quite nice to Ika though she treats her as a not really human child and does agree that some humans are terrible and polluting the ocean is very bad. In the manga, Ika was not picking up trash by hersef, Eiko helped as well.

Bottom line would be i recommend people to read the manga, its better in fleshing out the characters. The anime is pushing them into niches to drive the comedy.

Meh, personally I prefer the subs leave "de geso" in their original form. I think *snip* is taking it a little far with throwing squid in every sentence. Using "squiddadle" in the right context is humorous, but throwing it in every sentence detracts from the translation.

I wonder what will happen if Keroro and Ika would team up? Either complete chaos or humanity would be lost.

Or both of them could drive everyone insane with infinite amounts of "kero" and "de geso"...

Nah not quite, it takes 3 to topple the world, if we throw in Cancer with his "ebi" then you got ensuing chaos and insanity

The third segment is screaming adorable!, my heart's feeling fluffy and tearjerking. :3

I think this episode and especially the third segment makes for great gifs.
