If you are more impressed with rapehands than with awesome run animation that preceeds those, YOU have problems :P

But seriously though, what did you expect? We have tentacles mouthraping 13 year old girｌ. THIS stuff is decent in comparison.

Don't get me wrong, I love how it looks. I...just think I can do without those middle scenes

The choregraphy is still pretty lackluster compared to the previous ones:

• Hitagi gets cool staple actions.
• Mayoi gets a bouncy backpack and vibrant colors.
• Kanbaru gets basketball and flowering jumping actions as well as interaction with Hitagi.
• Nadeko ... is just pure win concentrated.
• Hanekawa gets emo running scene + molestation ... ?

To be fair, Kanbaru's OP's pretty weak too, but this is definitely worse than that one. Seems too much of a depressing OP to end the series with.

Yeah well Shaft clearly decided to use up their budget - that's why they couldn't even make a proper OP original and did a cheap live action one.

Like I said before, Kanbaru and Hanekawa's situations are very similar. They both love someone but that someone is dating someone else. The only difference is that while Kanbaru is attempting to get over her feelings, Hanekawa wants to keep a hold of them, because she thinks Araragi is her prince.

You don't take in consideration that it's actually the most depressing arc as well.
Sugar Sweet Nightmare fits it.

Oh and... 'emo' running scene? I'm gonna strangle ya. :|

And... come on! Don't lie to yourself when implying that staple stable took more money than TWO different versions of SSN with one of those having some tight animation while SS was slideshow almost entirely.


And if you ask me, that's not molestation, but more like her inner lust's spirit taking over, represented by said erotic imagery, but that's just me.

And last but not least, Tsubasa Cat isn't the end of the series. So far, Nisemonogatari 2 is.

I would say most poignant (only for the prince scene), but I wouldn't say most depressing. Senjougahara has a pretty messed up story too. Poor girl practically had to shut herself off and treated everyone as an enemy. The problems were both had terrible families, but the method of release is different. Hanekawa just happened to have a much more annoying problem.

Hanekawa is the paragon of perfection, while I'm completely ok with she being a horny nympho on the inside, I think her OP should still focus on her wanting to be loved than being taken in the behind like

It works ... kinda ... but I prefer it being a little bit more classy, hence the comment with SHAFT trying to up-play her eroticism too much. Not that I'm blaming them from a financial perspective, just criticsm from a personal perference.

I don't think they'll re-release it. The episodes on Vol 2. will have the new OP though.

What episodes are going to be in Vol 2 for that matter? Will it be the streamed episodes?

Not all the streamed episodes, just 14 and 15. Ep 13 was already included in the Vol. 1 DVD of Tsubasa Cat.

And yeah they'll probably leave Vol. 1 as it is, no reason to re-release something just because of a different OP. I don't really like the new OP, but the live action OP wasn't very good either, so meh whatever.

Well, the streaming is region locked, and people have been uploading the new OP on Youtube and NicoNico, only to have it removed soon after. If you want to see it, try both of those sites, routinely if you have to.

heh. I really liked how Ararararararagi said that he was really in love with Hitagi. Good ending episode, could be better if Shaft did not include those "live action" scenes. Sigh... great story and characters... it would have been good animation too but.. oh well.

Thank god it finally came out. It definitely wasn't worth the insane wait but it wasn't a bad episode. The Shinobu animation was drop dead gorgeous though. I truly feel bad for Hanekawa as it seems that she's going to lose in the end and she can't accept that.

Btw that animation OP is just loltastic. There is no way on earth they would have gotten that aired.
