Psh, I always laughed when they said DmC was shakespearey. Team Ninja pretty much forced all this hate on them with the bragging and stuff.

Still a okay game.

Woops I mean Ninja Theory XD

So they were like "Whatever, let's just pump out whatever and slap on DmC name on it.".

Lock-on is definitely a casual gamer's must. Why they remove it and expect to get casual gamers is very mind bending. How many games can you count to be easy to aim with without lock-on?

@_@
Lock-on isn't just for casual gamers, it also allowed you to do combinations with your sword. You can't do that in DmC because it lacks it.

Also in most of the playthroughs I've seen, the players seem to miss their target with noticeable frequency.

Wait, so how does he aim with the Guns?
Picks a near target?

Spoiler:

There's something odd about that sword, I can't put my finger on it, must be the perspective...

Auto-Aim, same with slashing with a sword, it picks the target closest to you.
So just say you wanted to do stinger on an enemy that's pretty far from you, don't expect to get closer, Dante will just choose the guy closest to him.

I've not played the game, only the demo (I don't think you can do stinger in it), this is just from what I've seen in playthroughs so don't quote me on this.

It picks a target in the general area of where you're facing. Videos suggest that the camera generally locks onto the target on its own so camera might move without you wanting it to(can you even control the camera?). Pull mechanics suggest that isolating your opponent is replacing lock on would be their idea.

How about it's nowhere near close to Yamato's look.

Oh no no no, remember, this is not Yamato, this is the Ya-mat-to, there's clearly a difference.

Mun-does

Tameem: It's pronounced that way because it's a reboot for the western audience, if Mundus walked into a bar and pronounced his name like it was in the original he'd be laughed out of it.

on another note, how do people feel about this?

Erm yeah, I think we all know why they picked January to release their game, and no it's not because they're there to fill up the gaming void for that period like what the gaming media wants us to believe.

How else would they get Number One?

With Dead Space 3 and Metal Gear Rising on the horizon it's gonna be interesting to see how it performs in terms of sales.

It makes me wonder if the pros have already "won", why do they still keep pushing this kind of thing? I'm sure at least half the antis already decided they want to move on with their lives. It's kind of odd that the few antis are pushing them to do wide scale insults and trolling.

Yeah Tameem, we have some growing up to do. While critics kiss your ass and demonize anyone who has anything negative to say about your game, even if they have legit complaints pertaining to combat, quality of story, why you can't get a game to run at 60 fps on consoles.

Not all pros are bad. Hell there are some out there that respect other people's opinions even if they aren't the same.

Didn't Bayonetta outsell DmC? wasn't DmC the biggest action game to come out since GoW3 or something? and I was pretty sure GoW3 had decent numbers along the lines of Bayonetta. So did the market really drop that badly?
