She's quite unoriginal though.

Her eyes are based on the favorite eyes of Narutards: The Sharingan. (only when there's blood on her [I think I was too late to notice it].

Her clothes are based on the sailor suit of Rin's... the arm accessories are based on Miku's and the skirt is based on Meiko Sakine's.

Ability: Making people angry.

I just learned about Vocaloid the other day, by accident. I love it.
But I'm confused as to exactly what it is. Is Vocaloid the name of the voice synthesizer, or the character played?
Also where can I get more songs?

Vocaloid is the name fo the voice synthesizer. And you can get songs almost anywhere All you have to do is look around like, NicoSound, Youtube, etc.

That's an amazing costume. How do they make it look so real?

It's not a costume. It's a (semi?) holographic projection of a 3-D animated model of her. :P

The concert was amazing. Most I've ever spent on a DVD but well worth it.

Wait so in other words it was a hologram? :twitch:

Vexx 2010-11-10 21:38

Yes, hologram - no actual physicality and delivered in a live performance. Whatever tricks were used, (lots of pre-recording perhaps with some controlled choice points for the performance?), the result was pretty interesting.

Raiga 2010-11-10 21:42

She was with a live band though, which was pretty awesome. They also had a lot of the original producers come on as guest performers to play parts of the songs they'd composed.

Master_Yoma 2010-11-10 23:27

Awesome that just so cool

why isnt there an anime about her yet I know there a 4 panel out

Oh wow that's insane, I can't believe she's that popular now. She's all I see in imageboards these days. Like thevil1 I thought that was cosplay too :heh:, until I saw the big opaque screen on the stage there and the projector light behind her. Amazing idea.

I was thinking something like that, like some awesome device underneath her generating a 3D model...something like in Star Wars hahaha.

Although after closer inspection, it seems like the good ol' projector

except with the projector behind the screen and instead of being a solid white screen it was a half see-through black/white screen so the crowd could see.

Wait...unless it really is an actual hologram, I suppose if we had a side view of her we could tell. ^^"

Anyways, I wish I had Vocaloid, I wanna make my own songs! :D

Yeah the concert was a really good watch! I got the DVD too. :>

What was the name of the DVD, preferably in English, so that I can see if I can find it online. I love money but I love Miku more.

It's region 2, so you either need a region 2 or region-free DVD player, or some kind of computer hack to de-region your computer's DVD player.

I didn't think computer DVD Players were region locked.

At least, none of mine of ever been.

Where do you live? My computer's US-bought, and its player is region 1, but I know computers from other countries have region-free drives. I have a workaround that lets me play R2 but it's annoying...

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this:

Hatsune Miku Set To Gain English Voice

Link does go to NSFW site Sankakucomplex.

I saw that, but I assume it's a gained enough support to be for sure now and if so I do wonder how they're going to decide her english voice [the person whom to base it off that is].

DVD optical drive firmware is set to region lock after it is changed 5 times. It locks on the last choice. This was an agreement with hardware manufacturers and "the entertainment goons".

However, there are a number of software tools to intercept the signals so you can happily carry on.

As for an English voice.... something just seems intrinsically wrong with that idea :) But I'm sure it'd sell.
