And the ending does suck. Abrupt endings are the worst. Still, most of the plot is done, and even if Yagi never revisits Claymore you can pretty much tell where the rest of the plot threads well go. It just won't be with Yagi's art and Deneve's narration. 
So like the anime, keep fingers crossed for a return and move on to other things, I guess.
