You could try alternative spellings like Homeless Girl Remi, but probably you won't find a lot of information about the series anyway.
It isn't licensed for R-1, but it was released in Italy (Japanese with Italian subs) under the title Remy - La Bambina Senza Famiglia. If you happen to be able to read some Italian, you can order the DVDs online (for instance at www.dvd.it). I have those Italian DVDs, but they are in a long, long queue waiting to be watched. |

I think you are mistaking 2 series. While I don't have it, the Medusa Video release seems to be of Homeless BOY Remi. Sans Famille, by Hector Malot, was twice adapted to anime form. The first one (Ie Naki Ko, 家なき子), very well known and beloved in several countries is a 1977 TV series, where Remi is a boy as in the original novel. It was recently licensed in R-1 by ImaginAsian and will be released as Nobody's Boy - Remi. AnimeonDVD shows the cover of the first American DVD here The second adaptation of Sans Famille was done as part of Nippon Animation's World Masterpiece Theater and they changed the main character to be a girl. The 2nd series, that appeared in 1996, almost 20 years after the original adptation, is called Ie Naki Ko Remi (家なき子レミ). That second series is the one we are talking about here and it was released in Italy by Shin Vision, including Italian subtitles. Here is a scan of the the part of the box that contains the tecnical data: And here is the cover of the 1st Italian DVD I'm talking about.: |

Haha! That would be awesome and then other old unsubbed WMT titles, but for the time lets hope they finish what they're working on. Don't know if you noticed but they haven't released anything in over a month. I hope they come back and show us that they're here to stay.
For that we folks need to go to their website to give them some words of encouragement.
