As a wrestling fan, I'm pretty satisfied with the show so far.

It didn't waste much time getting straight to the action especially in the ring. Plus, we got a good amount of moves shown. Characters seems interesting so far and this actually felt like watching a classic action movie.

That was dumb, but pretty fun nevertheless.

It was ok, feels like an old school anime, which is good.

If nothing else, the OP is very catchy.

Episode 2

All those suplexes, was it inspired by Brock Lesnar's suplex city?

Suplex the episode.

Damn it the OP is still catchy. The OST too, its campy but that just makes it better.

Yes, because, as we all know, Brock Lesnar invented the suplex.

Does not matter who came up with the move, the one who made it relevant in the recent years does.

Why that ending song so powerful?

As someone who hasn't been into wrestling since he was a kid this is pretty awesome, I mean, wrestling and anime go way too well together.

Having watched the original (and the first "sequel") ages ago - keep in mind I found them amusing but I can't say I really liked them - I feel it's "playing safe" for now for the matches (but again, it could be changing in the perception in this kind of "sport").

The original was pretty brutal (even if not necessarily bloody all the time) and the sequel was even worse in certain matches. Aside the very first few minutes, W is a bit "dull", though I think it may also be due to how Toei is scared of controversies now (see Urobuchi's comments on Kamen Raider Gaim's development as an example).

Interesting, so W is a sequel to the original.

Sad though, it seems everyone thinks the original Tiger Mask quietly disappeared after being unmasked in his match with Tiger the Great.

In the manga though

The second series actually said something about Naoto, more or less, in the first episode. Doesn't look like W is actually considering it canon, though.

I don't know what to to... I watched the original (At least I think it was the first series) around... 20 years ago could be? and even if I have very little memory of it, I have good ones and I don't know if I should watch this (I know it is not like the new McGyver show or the Knight Rider one but...)
