[Manga] Chapter 470 Chapter Discussion

Welcome to the weekly manga chapter discussion thread. This thread is created early to discuss spoilers and speculation about the upcoming chapter.

As per the forums rules, please don't ask for or mention about where to download the (licensed) manga. Also remember not to post or link to any translations of the manga, since this is illegal as well. Posting a synopses or summary is fine (and welcome) but please do not discuss scans, raws, translation groups, etc. Additionally, if you are posting someone else's synopsis (or their translation of a synopsis), then please provide credit were credit is due.

Remember that the manga is licensed, do not post significant part of the chapters. This stands for pictures and direct translations. Summaries are ok, crops of pictures are ok as well if you want to illustrate your point but this is it.

No spoilers yet, and probably not for awhile (we have been spoiled as of late with early spoilers...). So, offer up some nifty keen predictions in the meantime, until we are blessed with some succulent information...

EDIT2: Full Spoiler was released.

-Sakura and Naruto continue to quarrel. Nothing relevant seems to occur. Sakura leaves in a huff, asking Kiba to find Sasuke for her. An unknown group/individual watches the scene from the shadows...

-Tsuchikage's subordinates ask why the Kages don't simply kill Naruto or Kirabi. Tsuchikage gives some BS answer equivalent to the 'Will of Fire'...

-Kisame defeats the Raccoon-Bear. All lament the loss of this strange creature. Kirabi tries to kill Kisame with his 7-sword style, only to find his chakra being drained. In the end, Samehade transforms into a porcupine...

Hopefully this chapter will be Kisame vs Bee so all the shippers will be quiet.

Just for that, I am going to pm Kishimoto and ask him to only focus on Sakura, and to have at least 5 pages of flashbacks....

Seriously though, who doesn't want to see what the l33t RaccoonBear (damn, I hope the Racoon wasn't the female in that bizarre mating) Ponta will do to ol'Fish Dick (who Kanye loves...), let alone what Urotsukidōji-inspired Kirabi will do...

Which would be a better cliffhanger, Sakura's next response to Naruto's comeback, or Kisame's special ability to kill the bear? (srs question, I think we'll get some of both anyway).

I hope not. Bee is great and all, but I really could care less about the fight between two people that are not even secondary characters.

I hope we see more NaruSaku and the fight between Ao and Fu. I'm curious about what's going to happen to Danzou.

I was hoping for some insight.

Not that many fake spoilers even. One has Naruto telling Sakura he knows she loves Sasuke. She starts crying. They vow to bring back Sasuke. Another has Kiba giving Naruto a message from Shikamaru. Shikamaru apparently planned for Sakura failing.

That's totally true. Fanboys always talk about how they only like fights, manly men, and action. Yet the chapters with the biggest responses have been when Sakura and Hinata both confessed. Outisde of One Piece, I'd say most shonen is this way. Love proves more interesting. If Kubo ever did Ichigo x Orihime or Ichigo x Ruki, it would be the biggest chapter in Bleach by far.

Come on Kishi. Give us more romance. I want to see Temari and Shikamaruu together and Ino finally get over Sasuke. Hell, throw us some Neji and Tenten while you are at it and hook someone up with Karui and Samui.

Yes, Romance gets the fans off their seat far more eaisliy than a fight, if for not other reason than a fight doesn't necessarily stir everyone, but everyone has a shipping opinion .

And that why characters like Hinata born... and kishi will troll us with the non-ending chain of unrequited love: Hinata-> Naruto-> Sakura-> Sasuke

Well the chapter that Ichigo rose from the "dead" to protect Inoue was a pretty hefty thread if I remember correctly

I do agree though, most fans prefer character development (particularly romance) over fights typically. Especially when you're constantly drawn into fights for several weeks at a time.
