I'm not the only one who interpreted "awaken your Dark Flame Dragon" as some sort of sexual innuendo (even though she didn't mean it consciously), right?

Rikka's jealousy was quite adorable. I need more of this.

I was afraid I would dislike Shichimiya, but she turned out to be a nice girl who wouldn't even think about coming between Yuta and Rikka. She's a skilled fighter too... in her delusions. I still don't like her design, but eh, I can get past that.

PS: you guys all have very dirty minds. That didn't even occur to me.

I actually liked the new girl, and the nose touching was very cute...

...but like the rest of the gang here, my mind immediately went into the gutter at the mention of "Dark Flame Dragon".

From several minutes of interaction, you can already tell that there's a level of chemistry between Yuuta and Shichimiya that can give Rikka a run for her money. And if that was one of the purposes of the episode, bravo, it is done very well indeed.

I wonder though, how does it feel like to have a crush you may or may not have feelings for, reunite with him after a separation of 2 years, and be introduced to his girlfriend on the very day you are reunited? My assessment is that Satone accepts Yuuta's relationship on the intellectual level, but emotionally, she still has to come to terms with it.

Rikka's "too close" didn't just refer to Satone barging into Yuuta's personal space with astounding ease, but also their chemistry and interaction with one another. From her perspective, the awkwardness that characterizes Yuuta and Rikka's relationship in place does not seem to exist between the Osanajimi and her boyfriend.

The thing is, from her, what? 5 or 6 minutes? of screen time, i'm already sold into Satone's ship.
Idk if that steams from my dislike of Rika, but I enjoyed quite a bit watch her feel jelous, because there's actually another girl, who, by the looks of this chapter, has a better chemstry with Yuta than her, and actually influenced him in ways that Rika could only hope for (Patient Zero)..

I watched this chapter right after SYD, can you blame me for staying in innuendo mode?

I think the opening scene had something to do with it. It looked and sounded as if it came straight out an Eroge VN, where the protagonist get's a chance to... do the dirty with the heroine at the end of every route.

This episode is a total roller coaster ride for Rikka and Yuuta. Yuuta is trying to suppress his raging hormones while Rikka's memories of the latest contract is fresh in her mind. Then suddenly, Satone Shichimiya appears and disrupts the status quo even further, although she seems supportive of the Rikka-Yuuta "contract".

Satone reminds me all too much of Yui from Angel Beats. I hope we'd get to know a lot more about her soon.

I think there is a mistake in the sub at 20:25. Sophia was the one who transferred school not Yuuta.

The Dark Flame Dragon will surely inspire lots of fanfic and doujin writers.

I still wonder what's hidden inside the Dark Flame Note. At least it's not something obvious as Rikka didn't seem to recognized Sophia.

And I don't think Sophia is the Stalker but we will see when she officially appears.

Am I the only one who caught off guard by the Eskimo greeting? Definitely not the first thing that comes to mind when that happened.

With the blonde wig and the pink magic girl outfit, given Kyo Ani's style, you wouldn't think it was a guy at all. * Kumin actually looks nice in that prototype outfit. Say what you may about Dekomori's antics, but the girl is extremely skilled otherwise. * Satone finally! LOL at being "Patient Zero". And jealous Rikka is jealous. * Nibutani giving out magic girl advice! That's quite a slip there, Shinka. Also, that nose touch. I forget which culture does that, but I do think that's an equivalent of a kiss, right there. __________________
