Light novel 'Slime Taoshite 300-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Level Max ni Nattemashita' (I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level) is getting an anime adaptation.

Plot Summary

Suddenly dying from overwork, salarywoman Azusa Aizawa finds herself before an angel, who allows her to reincarnate into a new world as an immortal witch, where she spends her days killing slimes for money on an otherwise eternal vacation. But even the minimal experience points from slimes will add up after hundreds of years, and Azusa discovers that she accidentally reached the maximum level! Fearing that her strong abilities will attract work and force her back to a life of overexertion, she decides to hide her strength in order to preserve her peaceful lifestyle.

Despite her efforts, tales of the max level "Witch of the Plateau" spread across the land, and a proud dragon named Raika shows up looking to test their strength against her. Even though Azusa defeats and befriends Raika, problems arise as both friends and foes come looking for the secluded witch.

About what I expected. My only complaint is that I prefer the soft, round designs in the manga as opposed to the hard designs in the anime.

I think is amazing that she kept doing that for 300 years without getting bored... I mean she didn't even go outside the region.

I thought I recognized who voiced the Goddess, and after she said 17 years old is the age she liked I became sure of it.

Do they always put the “17 years old” joke in every anime the VA has a role in it? 😅

It's a rather sad detail that she was aware that she died from overwork, and after 300 years she was still carrying that fact as a reminder. And now marks the beginning of her slow life advocacy.

She really is worthy of that immortality if she hasn't gotten bored at this point. I totally get wanting to live life casually after literally herself to death. But you'd think after a couple hundred years she'd want to go on a journey to spice things up or something. Maybe save the world as a change of pace .

But she did keep up a steady stream of massacring a couple million slimes over a few centuries so she's clearly got the ability to enjoy living a patterned lifestyle. It hasn't bothered her in the slightest.

Thank goodness for the guy with loose lips though. If not for him she might have gone a few more centuries without serious change .

That VA has been doing this joke for longer than 17 years now if I remember correctly

Anyway while this is laid back, it isn't as boring as By the Grace of the Gods.

Oh man, absolutely nothing's happening in this one except the introduction of new characters and yet I'm already looking forward to this every week. I have no idea what makes this the most appealing series this season for me.

Maybe I haven't watched enough new shows this season
