First episode aired today.
In terms of music, I think it has one of the more unique ones for this season. I like the world setting too as it gives off a Victorian-ish vibe. The main protagonists were well introduced but I'm not really sold into the story yet. Might not be my type of show.

Alright, unnecessary padding dialogue and questionable episode story structure aside, the series is bold enough to plunge us right through the activities of the Vatican Miracle Examiners.
The "first case" is actually several incidents happening in the same Christian boarding school somewhere in Latin North America. We have the primary case of a stigmatic woman who claims to have an immaculate conception, then the presence of another stigmatic at school, the murders related to suspected demonic cult activity, and lastly the classic "Christian mystery" of the weeping Virgin Mary. It seems like a doozy, but it could all be connected to the school itself. We don't know how the inner workings of the school+church+hospital work, but Hiraga is suspicious of the 30 million dollars that the institution has received so far. Whether or not the church is gathering people and turning the institution into a "museum of unexplained cases" related to the Catholic Church has to be seen, but the sheer fact that four cases are happening in the same place at around the same timeline is suspicious in itself. Overview: • Immaculate conception: Woman was impregnated ten days into arriving at the church complex. • Stigmatic student: Cult of personality. Possibly benign in nature. • Demonic summoning rituals and related murders: Some crazy people in the church. It could be anyone. • Weeping Virgin Mary: Classic miracle mystery. Can be easily faked. • "Three-eyed child": Congenital medical anomalies, very likely a case of Siamese twins. Conclusion: Corruption angle within the clergymen of the institution using illegitimate miracle claims to generate income.

The first episode of this series felt messy and rushed, but had some elements that showed some potential mixed in with yawners for me.
I ... still really don't have much of a read on this at the moment ... but will try the next episode, methinks.

It's much bigger than that. Why did that one priest stop the guard from talking any more about the recent incidents? The priest even warned him to not have the police involved.
Chances are that the "devil" that the examiners' superior stated is the presence of an entire church made out of corrupt clergypeople.

My guess is that Klaus found out about her and had to pay with his life for it, while she turned it into a demonic ritual. A certain amount of supernatural ongoings has also been confirmed by one of the priests saying that stigmata aren't that rare. Point about it is though that there is almost no way to tell whether they are self induced or not, according to a rather recent paranormal investigator (source wikipedia). The crying Mary and the flying buy are easily faked, the latter also had stigmata though, so I see some kind of connection there.

Ok, this one looks like it might be good. It's all a bit over the top, but in a way which I find entertaining. They've thrown a lot of things in to begin with. Parthenogenesis, stigmata, demon worship, nuns who are perhaps excessively fond of their sausages and so on. That church is definitely up to no good. |

Well, that can't be right. There's obviously no immaculate conception here. She's either not pregnant, which is unlikely, or she was fertilized without her knowing. Maybe they just faked the hymen with false footage.
