Eh I loved Hyouka. Best thing Kyoto Animation has ever made, slightly edging out Clannad After Story.

Based on the animation though it's obviously not KA animating.

Hyouka is the most beautiful KyoAni show ever, so it's a pretty high bar. Let's not forget that Lapin Track aced it with Undead Girl Murder Farce. Having Hatakeyama directing didn't hurt, but Kanbe Mamoru is no slouch.

I'm actually of the opinion that if not for the 2019 arson tragedy KA would have likely been the one to work on this.

I read somewhere that the author had some disagreement wit KyoAni and dies not want to work with them anymore.
