Disk Check
I was used during the times whenever I turn on my computer, a black screen appears and saying that the disk are being scan, processed and defragmented. It's not a bad thing actually.
Recently, this doesn't happen now and I'm worried. Is some software stopping my computer to check itself whenever I open up my computer? I wish to return that "checking" back. Is there anyway I could manually do it? I'm using Windows 7 Starter. Thank you |

To do it permanently you have to edit the string BootExecute under Local Machine in regedit (if I remember correctly). Otherwise, I think there is an option under run>msconfig that allows you to do it too. Why do you want to run that annoying thing anyway on startup?
