Disk Check

I was used during the times whenever I turn on my computer, a black screen appears and saying that the disk are being scan, processed and defragmented. It's not a bad thing actually.

Recently, this doesn't happen now and I'm worried. Is some software stopping my computer to check itself whenever I open up my computer?

I wish to return that "checking" back. Is there anyway I could manually do it? I'm using Windows 7 Starter. Thank you

Run command prompt and type chkdsk /f /r.

To do it permanently you have to edit the string BootExecute under Local Machine in regedit (if I remember correctly). Otherwise, I think there is an option under run>msconfig that allows you to do it too.

Why do you want to run that annoying thing anyway on startup?

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

My computer hangs up for 10 secs during start ups... I think that'll do the work...
