I did a skim through nico... it seems that the 'trailer' is nothing more than a Power Point presentation of manga panels with some narration and voice-over... -_-

Dannychoo said they showed a trailer for this at TAF but he didn't record it, anyone got any information on it? Did the linebarrels get the dragonaut treatment? Can we use dragonaut as slang for crap cg from now on?

Yeah, they did. Moon Phase had a report on the trailer, and he said all the mecha are CG. Lolz Gonzo.

I'm hoping for a good treatment >.< though I'm not a reader of this manga, but I hear good things about it

Ahh here are some previews of the manga: (images from different chapters, provided by the publisher)

And gonzo ruins yet another potentially good series. The mecha designs were great too. At least go with a Appleseed or Persona type of cg. The cg I've seen from Gonzo is just too crappy (though I must admit Reiter looks ok).

Just saw this on Danny Choos site

From this alone, the CG looks horrible.

Jesus, it's like everything that can go wrong in a mecha series packed into one

- Gonzo + bad staff
- Bad CG
- Hisashi Hirai

Looking at that picture my first thought was "well at least it looks a bit different from the usual Hirai", but then I noticed that.... thing in the background... >_> Urgh!

Of course CG mecha isn't automatically bad, but Gonzo are hardly Satelite when it comes to CG quality.

Don't mention Satelight and GONZO together. It brings misfortune (aka kissdum)!

Both companies are OK when it comes to CGI. Personally, I have nothing against plastic-looking mecha, as long as the rest is there.

No, wrong show. When you bring Satelight and GONZO together, you get Glass Fleet.

gonzo have made some awsome looking cg. thats why i'm saying it all depends on how much money they invest in the cg..

Well as far as I know the worst mecha series of the modern era was considered to be Giniro No Olynossis, which also had Hisashi Hirai character designs. I don't know if this will go lower or not, but after Dragonaut I'm starting to wonder if Gonzo isn't trying to create B-Anime cult classics or something these days.

LOL@people who immediately hated GONZO's involvement.

Looks fairly kickass, though typical anime. But that's to be expected. 8)
