And the first episode was pure disappointment - this anime has extremely small budget.
I felt I was watching Gyagu Manga Byori - it has a very similar visual style and most of the seiyu are the same.
And the music sucks - I'd expected better from a music anime.

(Going back to read the great manga).

A DVD with all episodes was released last Friday. That's all i know about it.

Is Birth of the Metal Devil actually included in the box set, or was it only released standalone? At 666円 I'm tempted to add it to my next Amazon order just for lulz.

Also, Wikipedia says the live-action movie is out on the 23rd of this month (and that it includes a cameo by Gene Simmons). I wonder how it'll compare to the anime?

The special(?) episode was awesome. I love it how they exaggerated the crap out of all those clichés.

I'll be watching it in a sec, but what actually is the special episode? I'm guessing it's not apart of the 24 episodes.

Edit: Ah, it's just the first episode. I'll watch it again of course.

I really enjoyed the special episode. Really holds the same spirit of the comic and I've always wondered how the songs would sound. BTW I love the end theme song!

The SP and the movie trailer are hillarious! Oh my goodness, all the 'rapes' and 'f--ks' thrown around. I feel like smacking my head.

OMG! Funniest anime of the year! I thought the special was funnier than ep 1 even though they were similar story wise. I loved the line "no, not like that. It'll be a trendy cafe rape." So over the top!

Oh, I really wasn't expecting to like this and watched the first episode more out of curiosity than anything else, but I was just rolling with laughter through that.
That was just mad and brilliant.
