More or less that's what it boils down to in a lot of cases. Hence why there's an advantage to being willing to accept both the orange and the apple. In other words so long as each episode motivates me to watch the next one I'm sticking with this.

aaaargh, Taiga is so cute...
Err.. anyway, that was a cool episode. I usually pause the video while I watch the anime (I know this kills the good mood) but somehow, this episode got all my attention into it. I haven't read the manga, so I'm like "woo let's see where this is going"... of course, a lot of cliché in the episode... but overall, decent and entertaining.

I'm rather enjoying it. I'm glad they're skipping through the beginning stuff because I've already read it twice (manga and novels), they still managed to make it enertaining, and I'm looking forward to the Ami, Taiga, Ryuuji triangle the most. I hope they slow the pace down for the Ami stuff though. I do hope the series develops Minori and Kitamura a bit more too.

I'm enjoying this a lot too, possibly the most interesting anime this season.
The characters just come out so colorful, even if their interactions are completely cliche/unrealistic. And that has won me over. The VAs have a lot do with it too. |

Watched the second episode raw. Missed a big portion of dialogues.
Anyways since the general idea is clear I can say that the anime and this particular episode are awesome. So is Taiga (素敵な女子 (c) Kitamura Among the funny moments are at 8.04 (or 8.19 it depends) ー おい、見つかったか ー(うん) ー無事だったか ー(ううん) ーそ、そうか - Did you find them (the cookies) - (yep) - Are they intact? - Ah, I see... - (nope) Quote:
Now that I quickly looked them through the translations seems intact (just like the cookies. No, for real). Quote:
太陽が乾いている which literally means exactly as indicated in the subtitles. Putting the line into google gives a list of links all leading the blogs about toradora (and no clues). Somebody suggested it is the same as 太陽がいっぱい (blazing sun). But it's just the first thing that comes to mind, it has nothing to do with knowing japanese.

Hmm, I know the OP discussion was a few pages back, but now that I've listened to a high-quality source (i.e. not streamed), I actually love the OP >_>
I haven't read the manga but I'm assuming I know where the story between Dragon + Tiger will go (Rie Kugimiya's last line right before the ED seems like a dead giveaway) edit: oh and I forgot to mention, but I didn't like ZnT's OP's (I SAY YES is decent but YOU'RE THE ONE is horrid), so I don't agree with whoever said this is far worse.

(Luke, I am your father) AN ANIME THAT ISN'T CLICHE! THIS CAN'T BE TRUE! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! But no, joking aside... His comparison was nice, and romantic. They even gave an explanation as to WHY the Dragon and the Tiger go together (which is fantastic because otherwise I would've made this face: ). Toradora! really managed to create a good romance scenario. Sort of a, "you complete me," in a genuine sense. Taiga treats Ryuuji like a dog (as in, not a fearsome can of whoop-ass that grew legs and drew an evil grin on its front lable in sharpie) and Ryuuji takes care of Taiga and treats her like a person (not an adorable household p--... Er... Not a fearsome and menacing creature capable of ripping your face into ten pieces with a single out-of-line facial expression at her presence). I don't know, that's what I sort of get out of it. They both treat eachother like people, instead of tigers and dragons.

just seen the two episodes.. i got to say, it isn't as bad as i thought. nothing about the plot and all, just.. i'm not particularly fond of Louise.. and knowing she's here made me worry. But! it's actually good, I find Taiga more likable that that aristocrat (no offence to Louise fans or soever..) and more good looking and cute. Her tsundere-side is more on the cute side, imo.
just read 2vol's of the manga so yeah.. |
