I haven't even seen Arios in serious action yet (just a few skirmishes), and they are already shooting it down? It sets a bad precedent. |

And Al lost his edge against Soma now that he does not have his quantum brain waves and it is apparent that Soma has the advantage over him right now. |

Allelujah has been held captured for 4 years. Without getting to improve his skills and without quantum brain waves, it's not surprising he gets shot down. He said it himself that it wasn't Arios' fault but rather his skills when he got hit by Soma in episode 4.

Allelujah is going to grow as a pilot, that i am expecting very much or they wouldn't have made clear as early as they did that he is lacking in skills because of losing his other half.

Let's face it, the protagonists in Gundam 00 are pretty darn good pilots.
Folks like Mr. Bushido, Ali and Soma aren't your average A.U. grunts. This won't be the first time that the antagonist(s) is a better pilot, think Gato and Kou.

I haven't seen the older gundams, started with Seed and then Destiny. Even when i watched Seed, it didn't grasp me as much as Gundam 00. Seed and Destiny was just for fun to past time and cause my friend made me. Sure i liked Seed but...IDK >.< It just doesn't struck me as hard as Gundam 00 in a way.

You guys really shouldn't be looking at CB from that scale. To compare them to name less grunts is like saying the show should be realistic to the point where some GN-X3 no name can actually land a hit on a meister. That just doesn't happen in today's anime people. Nameless grunts are nameless for a reason, they aren't PEOPLE, they are just THERE to DIE. Just think of it like one big dota game replay. You can't tell me those damn trees and ghouls are worth comparing to, cause even the SHITTIEST hero can beat the crap out of those. Quote:

No kidding, where else in Gundam do you see a lone grunt survive near-deaths the way he did?
All other pilots who experience near-death scenarios mostly survive thru either; - A stray beam from out-of-nowhere appears, saving the one at mercy from his/her enemy. - A random mech flies into the line of fire and takes the shot meant for the one at mercy. Patrick survived all his near-deaths with nothing but himself... and truckloads of luck. Just for the fun of it, Patrick's survival scenarios; - Having his MS diced by Exia, save for the cockpit. - Fried by a missed bazooka shot from Virtue. - Having the bottom half of his Enact blasted by Throne Eins. - Feigning death from Virtue thanks to a random rock which beheaded his GN-X. - Having the top half of his GN-X kaboomed by Nadleeh. For some reason, when his GN-X was shot by Nadleeh, I find his "Eh..?" somewhat significant...
