Great ep!

Haha, Yui was so much like myself when I saw the Les Paul! It was the only guitar I paid attention to in the entire store.

When I finally bought one (an Epi Honeyburst) I was so tempted to sleep with that night but was also worried that I might harm it or bend something. So I placed the guitar stand next to my bed and smiled everytime I woke up

The artwork seems to be on par with Kannagi. KyoAni really modernized the drawing styles. Everything seems so clear, stylish, and colorful. I love how the characters all have their unique personalities according to their instruments. I just checked up how much that KORG keyboard costed. Let's just say that was a little out of my budget range for electric pianos I wanted to buy. Seriously didn't know that electric keyboards costed that much, since I am usually playing on a baby grand. (3-5k for really good KORG keyboards).

That keyboard also sets a limit on how far back this series can take place...since that particular keyboard came out in 2007, the show cannot take place any eariler than that.

Now that I have seen episode 2 I can post my thoughts, pretty good episode again. I am hoping that there will be more music in the series now that everyone has an instrument

But if she is the daughter(or grand daughter) of the president of Y*****, then she probably could had it months to years before it went commercial

PS: but then i guess the series take place in 2009. Make fans feel like what on screens are also happening somewhere in the world

Second ep was an improvement on the first in a number of ways. We saw a shade more depth to the characters of Yui & Mio plus some very funny moments throughout. I still want to see more out of Ritsu and Tsumugi, so far they are squarely in Yui & Mio's shadows in terms of their characters. 8/10.

I wonder why people think that this show is taking place in the past?

Unless it's set in ancient times or a space station, I always expect it to be the present. Particularly with 'slice of life' anime.

Maybe it was a intended parody? Or a direct metaphorical relation to the owner of Yamaha Corporation. Anyhows, I just checked the model of that KORG keyboard and it's price. A brand new one costs around 3,000 dollars to 4,000 dollars about the same price as a regular standing piano. It's expensive for an electronic, but I would deem it to be worth the price, considering the multitude of .midi files you can create with that thing. Electronic keyboards allow creativity to flourish.

If she does not wear those kind of casual clothes (but some kind of gorgeous lolita dress e.g.), then Ep 2 would not about how Yui buy her guitar, but about how every girls and guys on the street start to chase after Mio's skirt; and the three actually have to help her run away from the crowd.

..... she really deserve her MMM code name (Moe Moe Mio).

Ritsu is still as energetic (i wonder what did she buy before they go to the guitar shop), and it seems Tsumugi really admire Ricchan's spirit. Their moment of "Ohhh!! ohhh!..." when they decides to have part time jobs (along with the background noise) sounds quite hilarious

IMO, Tsumugi thought about helping Yui (maybe buy it then lend her or even buy it for her) the first time they come to the shop, as she looks quite trouble asking if Yui want it. But then Yui kind of give up and then the whole flashback then part time job starts.

Yui's cutest moments must be when she almost finish crossing the road, but got herself distracted and play with that dog (yashashashayashashasha....) ^^
