I'll even go first: Read that one Satashi short, and I wasn't against the idea. Then when I was inspired to write Ace Enforcer (from playing too much Phoenix Wright), it was always going to be about Fate trying to clear Yuuno of murder. Then I decided that her being in love with him would make things more interesting, and thought I could make it work so I gave it a shot. All the brainstorming and imagining them together over the course of several fic ideas finalized my liking of the pairing.

But if we're talking about most prefered ships, then mine is Teana/Vice. StrikerS is entirely responsible for that one!

And, tangentally, Clannad.

When I first saw the Nanoha anime, I had no pairing in mind. Same with Nanoha A's. It was only until I read a lemon written by Satashi that I got interested in pairings but I just liked Satashi's neat writing style and I still did not set down a solid couple but I was looking. Then one day:

Friend 1: Happy Halloween everyone! XD
Me: Yeah, woo-hoo...
Friend 1: What the hell is wrong with you?
Me: I was reading an interesting fic...

Me: Nanoha...

Friend 2: *appears from the kitchen* So you found out about ******'s new obsession?
Friend 1: *rolls eyes* Unfortunately...
Friend 2: *opens a can of soda and sits down on the couch with a bag of candy* Let's play a game...

And that's that...Yuuno/Fate is my favorite pairing because Yuuno is an Archaeologist and I believe an Archaeologist should have the girl/guy in the end (I'm getting tired of people coming up to me and asking, "Is Archaeology the study of bugs?"). That little incident actually forced me to choose a couple; I couldn't come up with a bizarre pairing so I paired two of my favorite characters together. And that's the truth as strange as it sounds... >.>

No...Archaeology:

...is not the study of bugs.
...is not the study of dinosaurs.
...is not the study of animal bones.
...is not like Indiana Jones.
...and yes, I can make a living as an Archaeologist. (I hate, and I repeat, I HATE when people from all over the place, professions and majors come up to me and say things like, "That's great; how are you going to support yourself?" "Wow...that is a dead subject..." "You should have another major just in case." "Can you get a job with that?" and my favorite, "Archaeology doesn't make a lot of money." Seriously! Why I chose Archaeology? Luckily, I shut them up real good when I respond back with this: "Why you want to be "so-and-so"?).

But back on topic...somebody write a short Yuuno/Fate fic! :3

My problem is that while my friends do know of my love for the series, none of them have seen it themselves! This is why I've never had anyone to show my fics to for input until I came here.

Eh, my friends don't have the means to see it. If they lived around here, I could at least lend them the DVDs...

Well, all they have to go off of is what I tell them, so they basically agree with whatever it is I say!

And yeah, archeology is a field I once considered going into. But I'm a psych major, which apparently means I have the ability to read people's minds

Well, my friends know I'm into anime, and a few of them know I watch MGLN and Sailor Moon. They just don't know I write fanfics for it, or for Sailor Moon. They especially don't know that I write mostly shoujoai fics.
