As I said earlier,I can actually see the elements of the 3rd Generation Gundams here in this lineart[which the Ahead is supposed to have, but hidden away due to possible public scrutiny],and combining my imagination from the previous picture of the Ahead from the S2 Archive files picture with the chest Condenser revealed, this lineart has made my respect for the Ahead increased quite a bit. THATS the saber color I want for my HG Gundam 00 series models[the Original Drive Gundams at least]!!!!! The ones released now are bit on the red side. They color looks fine from certain angles but sometimes they appear to red, which conflict with the Tau Drive mobile suits.

Not the only one, but definitely in the minority. I'm half way with you, I see Ahead as a great menacing design, but not necessarily pleasing to the eye. Which is fine, they're the bad guys and we're suppose to hate them. The Sakigake Ahead looks great though in my opinion, but that's the only one I'd consider buying a model of.

However, the new lineart of the fake MG looks incredible and I love my HG Ahead[In this form,it looks good standing still],more than I love my HG GN-X,but I guess that';s because the posability of the GN-X is more limited I guess in terms of limbs. Though I'm not a big fan of its variants at all.I like the GN-X series more as a whole but I like the Ahead as a suit quite a bit. Symbolically, what I do like about the Ahead is the menacing look.It truly looks like an Ms used by an evil organization like A-LAWS.Oh,and I guess the Star Wars rule of "blockier but more advanced" was used here in the Ahead's case.

I disagree about the gun,I like the GN-X Long Beam Rifle a lot more, but with its long barrel attached it does look better than the standard GN Rifle of GN-X.
Strangely the Ahead reminds me a bit of the original GN-X.The Original's binders gave it a very bulky feeling, and I think it overall interfered with the models.I guess I can also see how the Ahead gets derived from the GN-X data and technology, probably with that bulkiness feeling.Of course, its just a stange thought in my head. Glad they never made a blue one........that would have been ugly truth be told.Glad it wasn't adapted by the ESF army. But other than that, the Ahead is the successor of the Tieren lineage, and I guess sort of love the Tieren as well. Question:From your personal experiences, how often does a stand or a specifica model gets "loose",a sin its grip between the model and the stand is severely weakened. Two of my stands recently suffered that.Cement and tissue [thanks to the guy who said that] is working as a susbtitute material to re-strengtened it but frankly I'm worried.Does it happen that often over time?

A review of the GN-X MG is already up for those interested:
http://www.geocities.jp/hobby_no_toriko/mg-gn-x.html to be honest the colour scheme is quite bland, only around 10 main runners which isn't a lot for a MG kit although the cheaper price probably justifies that not bad for a grunt unit, but give me a zaku any day

I don't know why,but in that review I guess the GN-X didn't look too impressive to me.It didnt give me the feeling of "I have to buy" like MG Exia did.Speaking from a picture point of view of course.
I wonder if we can get a shot at its internal frame?Does it have one? It is nice to see its cockpit open however, thats never been seen previously.
