So yeah, super late....but finally saw episode 5. Damn good episode. As far as last week's topic, what was needed to be said has already been said, no need to go back into that. And definitely enjoyed this episode to the core more so than the others.....I wonder why

This new boss is straight up ruthless. But it makes me wonder just what is it about Satou....why him? Did he know the Ice Witch would start hanging with him? Like someone else said, I'm also confused about the wizard's role now, at first I thought he was one of the "big boys", but it seems he's not that significant anymore.

Oshiroi confuses me though....its like at one moment she likes him and wants him, then the next she doesn't and just likes him for her Yaoi material....make up your mind girl....

I have a theory that perhaps the target in particular is the padawan of Yarizui, which happens to be Satou. The story about the monarch goes, that he wants revenge for the previous leader of the East losing to the West. With the hints this episode that Matsy used to be a wolf just a year ago suggests this happened recently. Add to the part where the Wizard apparently trained Yarizui, and when we look at the OP when Matsy and Monarch walk their separate ways strongly suggests the two were close, but then driven apart by the leader of the west's victory. Say perhaps it was Wizard who defeated Matsy, and that Wizard trained Yarizui and Matsy trained Monarch. So with Yarizui running around the West as their strongest, and Monarch ruling the East, he wanted to make an example of Satou (Yarizui's student) as a declaration of war.

Not sure if she ever liked him. She's rather studious of him primarily for her novel, and everything between them so far has been because of that novel. Perhaps she enjoys seeing UmeUme beat him up....

Episode 6

lol? The supposed last boss beaten just half way into the series? Took only a few minutes at that too?

Looks like my prediction from last week was totally right about the Wizard beating Matsuba Kiku in the past

The fight was ok, not as awesome as the previous ones. Didn't really buy the Satou beating Ayame at the end either, Ayame most likely never got serious with him =_=

The serious tone didn't really felt good with a series such as this. Hopefully they'll go back to the comedy and fanservice part next week

I'm going to guess that when Satou finally gets a title, it will be "Hentai" or "pervert".

Another fun and wacky episode. I try not to think too much anymore when I watch this and just accept everything as is.

I honestly died laughing the entire time watching this. The "meeting" in the beginning, that light effect, that blood, that legend, so freaking hilarious. Watching this with text overlay = win x infinity. Times like this I'm so glad I didn't read the novel. The best one so far, but I heard the anime's very different from the novel for this episode (lol so many light novels got owned this week, F/Z, this, and Horizon).

Honestly 10/10. BGM and sound effects are as beastly as ever.

This episode was great. Monarch was taken down a little too easily and early for my tastes, but it just goes to show he was trash and not a full-fledge wolf. I'm liking his side-kick Nikaido more whom I wouldn't be surprised if he came back as a more sympathetic character.

The finishing move was bloody amazing. Nice teamwork, there.

I'm surprised a character with so much potential like the Wizard got written out so soon. The OP made it look like he was going to be very important. I guess we'll have to read the prequel manga to see more of him.

Why they changed the whole "Wizard vs Monarch" scene?
What were they thinking?

The story is still okay
but the epicness is way far below the original
I really don't know what they were thinking
so, do they want to cut the scenes of the boys and replace with girls?
I am so confused

Ah well... this episode had me laughing at it rather then with it, if you get what I mean. It was a little too over the top with all the "Bento is serious business" and not enough of the tounge in cheek aspects from the earlier episodes.

Still, it did have me laughing, so it's okay I guess. I hope they improve later episodes.

Also, I think it a real shame they didn't have the Wizard show up. That way the Monarch could have still be a semi-viable threat after the Wizard left. It would also have played up the obvious attraction the Ice Witch has for the Wizard. I assume there will be something done with that in the future.

Looks like Satou and Shaga are the couple being pushed on us. Not that I mind, but I found Oshiroi more interesting when she was a girl with some weird pecularities who might be interested in our hero. Last two episodes she's just been the fujoshi fan girl. That's not that interesting. Sure, as one element of her character it's interesting, but not when it just hits that one note all the time.

Damn good episode, and being Ume-less for a second time was real nice, and makes me prepared for when she returns......(hopefully)

But see pro-ume folks, this is why Monarch didn't get flak last week, because even though he's a ass, you KNEW he was going to get dropped on his ass, and BOY did he get dropped on his ass.....

Midonin Last Engage Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Florida	Spoiler for Ben-to 06 - Wolf in my heart: As bizarre as this statement is going to sound, I think Ume is one of those characters whose presence indicates that You's life is going well, at least for the time being. She's his link to his ordinary life, just the student council president with no involvement in things whatsoever. Every story needs a character to ground our hero to the world he hasn't left behind just yet, and Ume fills that role, if in a somewhat antagonistic way. And no matter how bad she gets, the Monarch makes her look tame. She's also not in this episode. I wondered if it was even about the food and more about the thrill of fighting for it at points, with all the martial arts action and conspiracies going on. But through Ayame's defection and teamwork, one of the bosses was toppled. And this is just this area. Who knows how many fights are going on all across Japan? And so, our first arc (I suppose) ends with a sweet taste of victory. I can't wait to see what lies ahead.

Lol at The Wizard finishing his hard-won bento before passing out. And the Monarch was taken down so fast? Fight could be longer but I'll take this. "The Freak" sure looks like a good nick for Satou. Kinda sad at lack of fanservice, i.e. where Satou is looking. No Ume for 2 straight episodes! What's up with the preview?
