I Looked up some info about JC Staff announcement dates and:
As for Movies: I can use only past movies as examples, so: Shana was announced March 23 2006 and released April 21 2007. (13 months) Utena was announced 24. December 1997 and released 14. August 1999. (20 months) As for Slayer Movies - I was not sure, but if they followed the patterns at that time, giving announcements at the last episode, then it also was about 11-12 months between the announcement and actual release. Other movies were just too old (and unpopular probably) to even find that kind of information. That leaves aproximatelly 12 months from announcement to release. Index Movie was announced 2 October 2011 and if they don't mess up something, INDEX MOVIE IS CERTAINLY GOING TO AIR THIS October - November!! As for Anime: Railgun anime was green lit (announced) March 18 on a flyer, so if they were to announce it the same way, we already passed it. Index anime I and II were green lit (announced) early June. Other anime were somewhat between late December (if announced in manga) or May - early July (if announced normaly) So there still exist hope we get an announcement for anime in about 2-3 months. And yes JCStaff had before movie and anime at the same time (notably Slayers that aired in middle of anime and Azumanga short movies (6m trailers) released in theaters), most likely this boosts the sales. So the chances for an anime + movie combo are very high. PS: movies in Japan are released in Movie theater without DVD releases, they are sold several months to 1-3 years later and they have extremly strict security, so even getting a CAM version is a miracle. |

But then again that might just be the one special case where they have greenlit the series early. Quote:
I know, that's why I kept asking people are they sure they want a movie adaptation of the novel...>.>

At least, is there as possibility of getting a detailed summary of the Index movie after the premiere? I don't want to ask Kamachi personally in the afterworld Quote:

If I remember well the first season index was announced in volume 16 and the second was in the July issue of Gangan 2010, next week Gangan to leave, then if there is another season of index should leave something in it.

(Don't know the real name) And I thought you'll be more interested in the blond girl (I think?) with blue eyes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At least one thing's confirmed, the first time I assumed it's a hastily done Promo Illustration, but twice now they've shown them in their Summer Uniform, making this story set before the events of 0930. ...Damnit, the words are too smalls for me to even try to make them out... Thanks you hyl for this much awaited post
